@GotJuiceCTD The Canadian government is just retarded so it doesn’t really lend well to any argument honestly

@PuddyWHK The question reads ‘in my safe’ Why it matters is the Canadian government has taken a stance to deprive Canadians of their legally purchased firearms.

This is an AR-15. A weapon of war. The gun industry is openly marketing these to KIDS. With cartoons and mini JR-15s. These don’t belong in the hands of our kids or on our streets. I just signed 2 bills that ban ghost guns and these sick marketing ploys.

If anyone thinks that ANY gun made my Colt is an AR-15, which was the Armalite Rifle model 15 patented in 1957, then they’re delusional. Colt trademarked the model number of their competitor… which is dumb… but they did it. They then pasted it on rifles that were similar, but nowhere near the same rifle, and now we have people trying to claim that the Colt M16 and the Colt AR15SP are the exact same weapon system… and so are all of the other commercial sportsman rifles made by every other gun maker which are similar in design. If you subpoenaed Colt today to produce records of all rifles they developed with a model name / code with “AR15” anywhere in its name, they will only produce their sportsman rifles AR15SP, AR15SP1, AR15A1, AR15A2, AR15A3, AR15A4 - and that’s it. The stupid “AR-15” splashed on their other rifles is a bought and paid for misnomer. The models of Colt civilian “AR-15” rifles (semi-automatic versions sold to the public, based on the same original AR-15 design/patent) are identified by specific naming conventions and four-digit codes, often with prefixes like R-, AR-, MT- (Match Target), CR- (Colt Accurized Rifle), L for lightweight, or more recently LE-/LT- (originally for law enforcement but many sold to civilians). A Congressman made an extremely dumb statement - that a commercial sportsman rifle was a weapon of war. Any serviceman with any rifle training knows different. The M16A4, M4, M240B, & M249 are “weapons of war”. We trained for war with them, and they’ve been used in war for decades. A semi-auto sportsman rifle is not a weapon of war.

I’m talking out my ass but likely. The fuel is still somewhat spicy when put into the casks and it ambiently cools/decays in this period. Putting them underground immediately to maintain the same effect is a waste of resources for no added benefit but with the further risks of volatile compounds in confined spaces and the water table (in the case of an unlikely leak). The time spent above ground is supposed to only be a couple years anyway, at which point it’s safe to store underground in a considerably less dangerous state.

@EagleZeroX @AgroNationalism It's so absurd how people object to nuclear power because of the waste. Don't break open the storage containers and roll around in it? We could just bury it in the desert and it would be fine.

@AgroNationalism It's going to take more than a drone to damage those casks. They're built to be indestructible.

I’m on vacation and I don’t work for free. It wouldn’t matter how many facts I give you you either want to troll or remain ignorant either way you’re not worth my time. Ask @HitGarageDoor or @Mrgunsngear or @BudLightSadness or any number of other true experts on the subject. If you served and think you used an AR-15 I can’t help you
