I am patiently loving this little girl back to good emotional health like Jesus did for me.
She’s learning to trust again, slowly but surely. She’s snoring so loudly right now — but no anxiety, no whimpering, no hiding or flinching but embracing the love and gentleness I am teaching her.
In my arms is the only place she truly feels safe. She becomes completely still and settles down like a human baby. You can’t hear her, but she’s resting like a baby — trusting and holding on to me.
She’s teaching me, at the same time, to slow down and give back what was freely given to me. We’re called to treat all of God’s creation with respect.
Proverbs 12:10 — “The righteous care for the needs of their animals…”
Meanwhile, she looks a little like the Grinch in this photo. Lol.

Y'all, Mom is still not responding and quit saying anything. She has a procedure this afternoon to see if the infection has spread to her heart. They also want to do a Spinal Tap and not sure when they will do that. Waiting on that Physician to call me and set it up. Cont-

Wanted to give everyone an update. Mom does have two serious infections, has had heart failure since 2021, had Afib a couple of times since September of last year, Diabetes and a couple of other issues. She doesn't know us, who and where she is, but at least today continued -

If a man lost his wife, and they had young children, and he was independently wealthy and didn’t have to work, would you urge him to not work at all and to stay home with his children for a year or until the kids were older since they’d lost their mom—or do you only do this for Erika?
I’m just genuinely curious, because I’m pretty traditional, but I’ve never seen any other person—including any woman—held to the standard people are attempting to hold Erika. So I’m just wondering if everyone suddenly and conveniently got majorly trad overnight or what? And if you’re trad, then why aren’t you urging all women who don’t have to work—including Candace—to stay home with the kids so that nannies are never or rarely used?
