@EdKrassen Why would construction costs skyrocket? Are they being paid under the table low wages? Maybe they should be paying fair wages and we'd get Legal Immigrants or Citizens doing those jobs. Allowing illegals to come and make lower wages isnt helping those legally here.

@tiger_Backwood @DualityXrp @the_jefferymead Builders are profit seeking businesses. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of money in building lower income housing. Selling 200 homes is harder and more time consuming than building and selling 30 homes. The cost to build the past 5 years is insanity.

Or it could be because they build more luxury homes than normal homes that leads to a housing shortage. As a builder for example I could build 200 affordable homes or 30 luxury homes. I can sell the luxury same money less labor, less workers and fuck the poor who cares because they got paid right? That’s what’s actually happening but you’re free to believe whatever you’d like
