@BaldeWaves Haven’t played a single serious team + conceded a goal + a pen + a chance bobb should have scored against norways b team. Needed a pen to beat Paraguay. Sweden lost 5-1 to Netherlands. No one’s realising how fugazi this run is.

@mathewclarke @navic_ular Yes they count for nothing because theyre setter colonists. If you live in an island off the coast of Argentina that used to belong to Argentina, you should accept it shouldnt belong to Britain 8000 miles away. If not just leave, rather than getting thousands killed for a flag.

@Purewater0 @navic_ular The population of the Falklands is completely unanimous about remaining British. Do their opinions count for nothing?

@pyjamas_black Notable that Queiroz’s Ghana is the only team to get a result against them. (Queiroz was ready to fight them at half time and everything)

@mathewclarke @navic_ular This is said like Argentinas rightful claim over the Malvinas isn’t completely unanimous among argentines. Brits could just simply cede ownership of their colonial land grabs instead of going to war and killing people over it.

@navic_ular Another thing to hate the junta for, bolstering Thatcher. She'd have been gone if it weren't for them sending a load of teenagers to die miserably

@crprivv900 @jb2forty Well Merino and Bellingham are actually the same profile, unlike pedri who has a completely different role. Do you watch football? Not every “midfielder” plays the same position.

@jb2forty Merino did more than pedri did in this game like comon. Atleast gamble and take a risk man.

@MaxRadwan The argument perfectly applies to the U.S actually, and by a far wider margin than it applied to Russia in 2018. It’s telling that you’re unable to argue why it doesn’t

Thing about this double standards convo re. USA/Qatar World Cups, is that the World Cup that argument actually applied to was Russia 2018. Obviously there was some reporting on it, but the backlash to that tournament didn’t go nearly far enough when you compare to the next 2 WCs

@RachelMoiselle @DanFmTo How can you possibly not understand that the training it would require to make a dog have sex with a human (something perverts do regularly and there is evidence of all over the internet) is the exact same training it would take to make a dog penetrate a bound prisoner?

@DanFmTo That’s not what was claimed in the piece. Dog rape specifically - without any allowance by the prisoner - was claimed.

As a simple matter of fact, the specific assertion highlighted is wilfully misleading. Niklas very cleverly says the medical literature ‘documents rectal injuries’. Note that he does not say ‘documents dog rape’. That is because there is no such occurrence in the literature, it is completely without precedent in this regard. As @AviBittMD wrote (full comment linked below): ‘No cases of canine rape have ever been confirmed in the medical literature, and the very few cases of rectal injuries that are described are documented as being initiated by sexual/curious zoophilia on the part of the human, not an assault on an unwitting human on the part of the dog. Moreover those very same medical journals specifically state what you are claiming as “never been described, nor is such a such a thing likely”.’ There were credible testimonies in the Kristof piece. However, the Sagan standard was obviously - obviously - required on claims of dog rape and it was not provided in the piece. I am honestly dumbfounded that Nick and the New York Times have gambled their credibility as a journalist and paper respectively by insisting on publishing and standing behind the dog penetration aspects of the piece. Worse, they are now wilfully misrepresenting the medical literature on the subject. This is a total collapse of journalistic and editorial standards that, aside from anything else, has left the credible testimonies - ones that deserve to see the light of day - in the dust.
