I got another trick up my sleeve for this scene! can't use screenspace reflections & don't wanna use a reflection plane or cycles.. so I just sank an inverted city block under water 🤷‍♂️💦

I dont know how to use AI for motion design yet (im gonna be so cooked soon) so I just used Houdini + Redshift for this one.

The future of motion design might be interactive? My last work with Sonalyze.com , I created an interactive film about Sound DPE like EPC using @rive_app . No more passive 10-second scrolling — here you interact, explore and understand.

Been experimenting with procedural locomotion on #GaussianSplat environments from @theworldlabs . Built a little multi-legged robot in Unity that raycasts against the splat data to figure out where to place its feet, no meshes or colliders involved... Pretty fun to climb surfaces, walk on walls, and set a weird number of legs on the fly :) Still rough around the edges but pretty fun to watch it figure things out. #GaussianSplatting #Unity3D #WorldLabs #ProceduralAnimation

Sony Pictures Entertainment is shutting down @Pixomondo, an Oscar- and Emmy-winning VFX and virtual production studio that worked on Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Boys, and other projects. Sony acquired Pixomondo in 2022: 80.lv/articles/oscar…

If I ever started an art collective, I’d name it 'LOOP OR DIE'. If it already exists, please pass them my card.

@TheMirzaBeig As a motion designer, it feels weird because it was basic shit for us at this time. I see a lot of stuff like this nowadays thinking motion design influenced video game (the other way around was always evident for « us » as it’s a young medium)

Beautiful physical/3D/mechanical art installation at the Palisade Bank - Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, 2016. There are a few ways to approach this effect, all fundamentally wave/noise offsets, sampled per-tile. #gamedev #indiedev

In this example, I'm saving the positions of the grid points used to instance the hex tiles. These are read in Unity to move tiles together, since all vertices of a tile will have the same grid point value.
