By the early 2030s, experts estimate 30% of all global wireless traffic could be #AI‑related. Without more spectrum, today’s networks cannot handle the uplink traffic resulting in slower speeds, dropped connections, and limits on new tech—especially for innovations like real‑time AI and extended reality (XR).

This week at #MWC26, I joined @AlexKatouzian on stage to discuss the future of personal AI devices and the role connectivity will play in bringing them to life. AI is becoming the new user interface, enabling lightweight wearables that can translate languages in real time, assist students contextually, and enhance accessibility for older adults. When these devices operate as a connected constellation, generative AI becomes deeply personal and continuously available. 6G will be foundational to this vision, delivering the continuity of experience required to make personal AI seamless, reliable, and ready for everyday use. The opportunity ahead lies in making personal AI intuitive, trusted, and always available. Very proud of our team for having launched the new Snapdragon Wear Elite platform at #MWC26.

Pre-commercial 6G devices are expected by 2028 and standards-based rollout around 2030. Governments should act now—on spectrum allocation, standards development, security frameworks, and incentives for next-generation network deployment—to ensure their nations are ready to harness the AI that rides on the airwaves.
