That’s not true, and I think Blue would survive because I believe that most people are truly good deep down. Either way, choosing Red is either cowardly or evil, and claiming Blue is beyond saving is a pathetic justification. I also believe that many would choose differently (for Blue) if it were a real decision with actual consequences, rather than just a cost-free thought experiment on X - without skin in the game.

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 80% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 80% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

People say RSI started with GPT-5.5 doing code work for OpenAI people but by that logic it started with GPT-3 because pretty sure they used some low level autocomplete back then? GPT-5.5 is the same but higher level, unless ofc it comes up with genuinely novel ideas on its own?

It's something basic, but I would not have had the time and honestly I would not be able to made it this good. Codex one-shooted me an browser app with a BookWheel for my girlfriend. With books database, search for ISBN or details and so on. She can add her unread books and when she finished one, she turns the book wheel and gets a new book to read. It is nothing special, but it took me like 10 mins. Small tools that make your life better are essentially for free nowadays 😅 I love it.

@kimmonismus If Usain Bolt's top speed is 12.42 m/s than a robot with 10.09 m/s is not faster than the fastest human. Or do I get something wring? Ofc it's just a matter of time.

Bolt by MirrorMe | Claims speeds of 11m/s indoors, 10.09 m/s outdoor so far (Usain Bolt's top speed is 12.42 m/s) Now robots outrun the fastest humans on earth.

1. I never said LLMs were not useful. They are, particularly with all the bells and whistles that are being added to them. I use them. 2. A robot-rich future can't be built with AIs that don't understand the physical world and don't anticipate the consequences of their actions. And LLMs really don't. 3. The future in the cartoon looks pretty dystopian TBH, but even a non-dystopian version will require world models and zero-shot planning abilities. 4. I rarely wear a suit and absolutely never wear a tie. 5. I would never ever place a coffee mug on top of a piece equipment. 6. I hope I'll look this young in 2032.

But why? gpt 5.5 is amazing good at coding already. And gpt 5.5 codex would be the same model, just little bit more RL on coding. I think they already max their models at coding primarily, so no need for a codex version. And it feels a lot faster too. Probably just more efficient, but feels good 👍

@dpratyush02 They also don't need the money and they can just wait, cook for themselves and watch what the others are doing. I think google will be one of the winners in the long term. And I also think that it will not be only one winner. Its not a winner takes it all game.

Yes, Elon's statement is accurate: South Africa's B-BBEE rules require 30% ownership by historically disadvantaged groups (mainly Black South Africans) for telecom licenses like Starlink's. Starlink has already registered a local SA subsidiary and proposed Equity Equivalent Investment Programmes (e.g., $30M+ for rural schools) as an alternative to equity sale. ICASA's regs don't yet fully accept this despite a Dec 2025 ministerial directive to align them. No license granted so far.

Elon Musk
Elon Musk@elonmusk·
South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied. Shame on the racist politicians in South Africa. They should be shown no respect whatsoever anywhere in the world and shunned for being unashamedly RACISTS!
DogeDesigner@cb_doge

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?
