A superb Day 1 at @Fairyhouse . Just one thing. Very disappointed that the tea and coffee kiosks are now card only. There are many reasons why we love Irish racing. Please racecourses, don't ruin it by taking those reasons away. Cash is king in Ireland. Rant over. Racing superb.

Sometimes in life, little things mean the most. Just on the bus to the races. Mum and toddler on board. Toddler wants to go to top deck. I looked after push chair downstairs. When they came back down, toddler looks at me, smiled and said "thankyou very much". Meant the world.

Morning (again) so the inevitable phone call has come from Jake Pauls office 2 millions pounds for an "exhibition fight" plus 1 million for every round the fight continues after the 1st one to be held at the London Stadium in November in time for my 65th Birthday I have to say I am considering it

@MikeParcej @PaulEmbery Our pubs are places for, friends, families, colleagues and acquaintances to socialise. None of that anti-social behaviour would be entertained and if needed, our local Police are just by the Pubs, not a good idea to ruin a great 🇬🇧 atmosphere. Come and visit

@PaulEmbery Unwelcoming service? Antisocial behaviour and swearing? Pubs closing early if quiet even if people are in there, so they're asked to leave and therefore don't come back? My favourite pubs are always busy until closing time.

When I was growing up, pubs would often be rammed until closing time (not so much during the week, but certainly at weekends). The bell for “last orders” would usually spark a rush to the bar. These days, even the most popular pubs seem to start emptying out around 8.00-9.00pm, including on Fridays and Saturdays. Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? Is there a reason for it?
