I’ve always opposed EV mandates, rejected the idea that EVs will save the world, and preferred traditional engines for vehicles like the F-150 I used to drive. That said, it’s clear that Teslas are absolutely top-notch products. It’s not hard to see how they’ve developed a dedicated following.

@contractorsPOV We really need more towing compatible SCs. 16 chargers in Lexington, KY, I was one of two charging. Poor placement of the power transformers.

Elko NV charger. Nobody else is here, I'm using 2 stalls without disconnecting. If more people show up, I'll move.

@contractorsPOV Yeah, the Cybertruck is OK for infrequent towing, it basically doubles the number of Supercharging stops on long trips. It does feel much smoother than our F150 on the road, though. Works especially well in the mountains. Really miss FSD when towing.

Made it to Winnemucca, NV. That's 325 miles from where I started. Map says 5 hours 25 minutes, and I could have easily done that with my F-150. It took me 8.5 hours in the Cybertruck. Granted, I probably charged longer than I had to in some spots, but since it's my first time pulling the trailer, I didn't want to chance it. Add to that the decreased speed and that's 3 hours difference. I can't call it a luxury tax because there's nothing luxury about towing with the Cybertruck. No self driving, uncomfortable seats and disconnecting to charge. But it does have an amazing sound system and it's so smooth on the road. Pretty quiet too. I'm glad I don't have to do this regularly, it would have prevented me from getting the truck, so I can put up with it every once in a while.

@KentuckyToc @Tesla @cybertruck Hmmm, have not got that one yet. Maybe I have to wait 8 weeks until it gets repaired before it will drop? I did get the Earth Day charging badge, which was one of my last L2 charge sessions.

@R22749 @Tesla @wmorrill3 @larsmoravy @cybertruck I may go out and try it later today and see if it's active. When I check my "Specs & Warranty" page in the app it still ways "Pay as you go". I've seen where others have it showing "Free Supercharging" with it expiring in June/July. Safe travels on your trip!

@KentuckyToc @Tesla @wmorrill3 @larsmoravy @cybertruck I got the impression from my advisor that it is already active? Have not tried it yet, going to wait for a lower SOC. Apparently, the 48 volt regulator circuit is also on the PCS2 board, if it fails, then the truck is bricked. We are driving the gas car on two trips now.
