All because he was concerned about the health of a child.

Respectfully, you are wrong – and this is absolutely true. People have indeed been sent to prison for X (Twitter) posts. However disagreeable some people might find those posts, it is indisputable fact. As to the second point, there is a strong argument that this gov attempting to cancel elections it knew it would lose, and then ostensibly silencing Reform UK's policy announcements by weaponising the Online Safety Act are all acts indicative of an authoritarian dictatorship.

That is a basic misunderstanding of the meaning of the word "evidence". No insult intended, honestly. Evidence is just data contextualized around "raw data". The data in this case is a blue blur on an image. It is evidence of at least 2 things: 1. Cosmic rays as Michael (and others) suggested. 2. An anomaly of some kind, that could include "space aliens", or ET, or, or or.... When people say there is no evidence that is a basic misunderstanding of both legalistic and scientific uses of the word "evidence". Evidence is not proof. Evidence is something presented as an idea. In a courtroom the evidence is argued by both sides to convict or acquit ("If the glove don't fit, you must acquit") is an argument the evidence of the blood on the glove and the fact it didn't fit OJ's hand was "evidence" for the jury to decide. Please people-- pass this on in your discussions with others about what evidence really means. I fully agree with that part of Mr. Shermer's notion... the blue smears COULD be cosmic rays. But they are not PROOF they are. Like any idea, they must be tested. For instance, show me 1000 pics of such blue smears and that weighs the evidence to the idea it's cosmic rays.
