@RBKC can you justify maintaining a Fire Safety team and Building Safety Manager that fail to respond to leaseholder enquiries? Accountability on safety issues shouldn’t be optional.

£186m spent on the Lancaster West Estate refurbishment—and nearly 9 years after Grenfell, residents are still dealing with temporary boilers and broken intercoms. This only came to light because of the relentless efforts of residents who refused to stay silent—despite being dismissed, undermined and facing constant obstacles. Credit to those “rebel residents” who kept pushing for answers and those who support them. Any new government funding must come with a full forensic audit of their unaccountable expenditure to date, independent costings and proper management and delivery oversight. Otherwise, it’s just more public money wasted—with residents still paying the price. If Grenfell tragedy, and the loss of the lives of our kin is attached to these hundreds of millions of pounds, we demand transparent auditing of what they've done with over £186 million so far, delivering not even doubleglazed windows across the estate. And still no boiler. @josephpowell @SteveReedMP @SamanthaDixonMP @mhclg @LWWalkwaysRA Watch the clip: Joe Powell MP parliamentlive.tv/Download/Index…

As Parliament is about to debate the Grenfell Memorial Expenditure Bill this evening, we continue to demand accountability and transparency about how these relics were destroyed despite the Ministerial undertakings. Who knew what and when. #thismemorialisnotforus "Nothing about us without us". The memorial is for those who died. Not for contracts. "Do not turn tragedies into opportunities for profiteering in the future. This is an insult and disrespect to those whose horrendous end is used for gain." next of kin of deceased mother. @SteveReedMP @SamanthaDixonMP @AngelaRayner @josephpowell @NazShahBfd @DawnButlerBrent @Telegraph @ObserverUK @thejohnsimpson @LBC lbc.co.uk/article/grenfe…

After joining King's Road businesses for a recent meeting with @RBKC, I can report they're now discussing options on rent hikes. A step forward - but the fight isn't over. 1,500 petition signatures helped get the council to the table. Add yours below: bencoleman.uk/kings-road/

@JamesMelville Apparently only 10 Labour MPs voted against. The "rebels". 90 abstentions. Shocking. Where is the representation and as for the Justice Secretary. 😵‍💫

Here’s the list of the 304 MPs who voted to end the right to jury trials. All of them are Labour MPs. This is an affront to British justice. They have ripped the heart out of a constitutional principle. Shameful.

@WestLondonWomen Basically anything they didn't want discussed or addressed was "triggering" as a way of shutting it down. We did a poster about 6 years ago and flyposted around West London. Within 48 hours RBKC/MHCLG paid people to go round tearing them down because it was "triggering".

Police wear body cam, facial recognition vans in our high streets. CCTV cameras every where. Forensic architecture capabilities and yet there are extensive delays in catching criminals, and now they want to do a way with jury trials. This is an attack on Human Rights. Article 6.

Today marks 105 months since the Grenfell fire — a tragedy that showed what happens when profit is put before people. Dirty Business on C4 is a stark reminder that systems allowing dangerous shortcuts and weak oversight cost lives. Remember Grenfell. Demand accountability.

I’ve questioned Firstport’s Managing Director about his company’s appalling bad and slow responses to issues in #Woking buildings managed by them. He shouldn’t celebrate fewer problems being reported as a success - it’s down to people giving up reporting them!
