I deleted my post yesterday re: stolen loads which we recovered. Typically I post into the abyss on here - having the post go viral was uncharted territory. My first time getting hate mail both here and on LinkedIn — ultimately, as awesome as of a story as it is, it’s not worth putting my family or businesses in the crosshairs of bad actors. Moral of the story: 1) Protect your freight at all costs. 2) Be relentless with procurement. 3) If you’re a shipper/broker operating without a freight theft protocol — stop that. Put one in place. It will pay (or save your ass) to have a plan in place!

It was a mixed bag — but the bad outweighed the good. I did have several people reach out asking for resources and help with current loads they have stolen. (If you rely on macropoint and your shit gets hijacked, I’m sorry, but your freight is gone and authorities are likely not going to engage much effort or resources.)

@RCFreightGuy You got hate mail for recovering stolen freight? People should have instead been hounding you asking what you did so they can recover anything of theirs that gets stolen in the future. I'm growing tired of the bad actors lately.

Fun fact: The trailer releases for Dune 1 & 2 both happened at the bottom of bear markets. Bitcoin went on to have bull runs that led to new all time highs and lasted for years each time. The trailer for Dune 3 released today. Run it back turbo.

@TimothyDooner We have a freight theft protocol in place and followed it promptly. Engaged connections at CHP, multiple PD’s and hired a PI. First load found Saturday, second load found yesterday.
