Credit card rewards are a scam. That’s exactly why they exist. They’re not rewarding discipline. They’re betting on your lack of it. Very few people actually pay their balance off every month. The points, miles, and “cash back” are bait while interest quietly drains wealth from the undisciplined. You think you’re winning a free flight. They’re making billions off your interest payments. Rewards don’t make you wealthy. Discipline does. If you can’t pay it off monthly, you’re not using the card. the card is using you.
