Thrilled to share our latest study showing a non-canonical, SOCE-independent role of STIM2 in colorectal cancer. Explore how loss of STIM2 fuels CRC via metabolic reprogramming and ER stress activation. Huge thanks to our team @TrebakM & collaborators! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Happy and excited to share that our paper has been published and now available online! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jn… Our study demonstrates the presence of subtle phenotypes in induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) derived from young-onset Parkinson's disease (PD) patients.

This observation lends credence to the hypothesis that PD is not exclusively a neuronal-autonomous condition. The changes identified may represent potential targets for early intervention in prodromal PD, especially in light of the current absence of disease-modifying therapies.

Here, we demonstrate that EHMT1 expresses distinct nucleo-cytoplasmic forms of the protein, which get recruited to ssRNA viral replication organelles formed in the cytoplasm.
