Honoured to have been made a Fellow of @E_C_S_S . All the great kids and coach Ed research we have achieved couldn’t be done without working with great colleagues. Looking fwd to continuing to support the college and especially early career researchers.

Got no hot water at the moment until tanks replaced. Anyone who says they actually enjoy cold showers is definitely lying! 🤥🥶 As for the questionable health benefits you’re welcome to them!

High Performance Planning 📈and a free EBook! This picture represents one of the most high performance strategies I’ve been a part of with @teamgb and the rugby 7s squads. Both in 2016 where we won 🥈 and the 2020 campaign, had one common problem to solve. ➡️Bringing together players from different nations to gel and play at an optimum level over 12 weeks (Rio prep) or 5months (Tokyo prep) The physical preparation was very different for both these campaigns, with different strategies required because the game was different and the players too. What you may be surprised to here is we didn’t fitness test once in the lead up to Tokyo. But we had a specific reason for why. In the 2016 prep we had 34players to choose from, and in 2021 we had 24. Therefore maximising player availability and balancing that against functional overreaching and rotation of players in training looked very different. The way I problem solved and the questions I asked throughout didn’t change though. We needed to know what success looked like at key times: ✅ in competition ✅ in travel ✅ in training We also needed to know the plan, and how we would prepare to adapt it There was also a conscious effort to connect our high performance decisions to a greater purpose as part of a wider @teamgb team - creating relatedness in everything we did. If you’d like to read more about the 10 key principles I use in performance planning, comment “performance” by replying below and I’ll send you a link to a free ebook detailing each principle. 👍🙌🏉

Those hiring, when they do actually go through a correct hiring process only skim read your CV/Resume A first impression is made in the first 5-7secs… Yet so many people aren’t asking for a critique of their CV This last week I spent time with two coaches asking me why I thought they werent getting interviews Networking and experience aside, it’ll likely be the impression you (don’t) make from you CV Send it to someone you trust. You’ll be surprised what they see that you don’t… If you want my tips on CV writing for sports jobs, comment “CV” below, and ill DM It you

Finally submitted my PhD this week. Quite a journey over the past 5.5 years. Plenty of challenges & stressful periods, but a hugely fulfilling experience! Thanks to my supervisor @jb_morin, my @sscsportsmed @SSCSantry colleagues past & present, & my family for all their support

@ThreeUKSupport It was through the My3 app. My wife has just logged in online and received a confirmation of cancellation, now. We’re both with 3. We use the app for everything - it would appear your link on the app is faulty. Will 3 now acknowledge that the fault is with you. Not us?

@RMBurge That's not good to hear at all and we're so sorry your add-on hasn't dropped off. Did you cancel it through My3 at all? What add-on is it? We totally see where your frustration is coming from and we want to help -Suzi

@ThreeUKSupport @ThreeUK Auto chat cuts me off. Phone options lead back to the chat. It’s ridiculous! Please can I have a call back or I’ll cancel the contract & go elsewhere.

@ThreeUKSupport Hi Suzi, Three are continuing to bill me for a bolt-on that was cancelled in July. Three said it show active until the month ends. It still shows as ‘active’ & 3 won’t acknowledge this; you just bill me, again & again. Daylight robbery.

@RMBurge Hi Rob, we're so sorry but we're not a call handling team and we don't have the facility to arrange call-backs. We're keen to help though ❤️ What's happened? -Suzi

Don’t pay too much attention to the readiness metrics normally but I reckon after a weekend away eating and drinking too much in the ☀️this time they may be valid 🤣 #readiness #oura #tired #recoveryrequired
