@RSBennett07 @RTaub_ A line of pags Lee and Holmstrom is and wud be an excellent 3rd line period
Now move into the other 3 lines
English

@RTaub_ @Jeanie_80749 Value is how much you have left to cover the rest of your needs.
English

@RTaub_ @Jeanie_80749 No, it's not. 5.5 is still a million more cap space than 4.5.
English

@DanSaintLaurent @eeyore566 @FixingEducation Recording is one thing, reporting is another.
That's how you avoid blowback: regularly telling the office the kid is missing. As it continues, the issue is now beyond your pay grade.
If you CYA, principals asking a "1st question" at that stage shows their negligence, not yours.
English

@RSBennett07 @eeyore566 @FixingEducation I am going to believe that the teacher has been keeping accurate attendance records. This would allow admin/counselors/truancy officers to easily run reports and get in touch with the families of students with chronic attendance issues.
English

@J800202K @FixingEducation Does the teacher’s union establish school attendance policies? No. Not their purview. You are set on making a bogeyman.
English

@RSBennett07 @FixingEducation Does the teachers union ever pass on an opportunity for $$ ?
English

@DissentFu Does your principal have a legal reason to assign collective punishment to an individual’s error?
English

@RSBennett07 That I agree with but I need legal reasons to object professionally
English

@HangBlaa @cro29000032 The special gift of movable type was not just the opportunity to make text more accessible, but to provide the opportunity to organize information.
Alphabetical order is an organizational tactic, not a pecking order.
English

@cro29000032 I learned to read before I went to school, Anne. It came as quite a surprise to learn that the letters had a pecking order.
😀😀😀
English

@TFan1960 @FixingEducation What you describe is a system of indifference and negligence.
Great to see the system has shifted to realize that first and foremost we teach students, then subjects. Coaches to overcome obstacles instead of gatekeepers.

English

@FixingEducation True. But I went to public schools in a massive city in the 1960's and 1970's and I personally know many students with records not nearly as bad who were simply tossed from school. Their parents asked: "Where will they go?". The principal said: "I don't care, you figure it out"
English

@J800202K @FixingEducation Someone we’re going to shoehorn some union bashing into this, huh?
Heavy on the sarcastic, far too light on the inquisitiveness.
English

@FixingEducation And the teachers union say they need more of your $$$ to fix it. How would that help ?
English

@DMAreaOcho @eeyore566 @FixingEducation Three quarters absent? 120 absences?
You might want to consider a good hard look in the mirror. Stats like those raise red flags in more than one place.
English

@eeyore566 @FixingEducation I did. When I was a teacher, three quarters of my students were chronically absent. One student had 120 absences. The parents dont care, and admin does nothing.
English

@DMAreaOcho @eeyore566 @TongoRad @FixingEducation You are clearly out of touch.
The entitled are easily as big a concern as the impoverished. In fact, poorer students tend to be at school more often; it’s a safer space.
English

@eeyore566 @TongoRad @FixingEducation The majority- yes. Smart well educated people tend to not be poor. They became well educated by not being absent. They pass that trait on to their kids.
English

@eeyore566 @FixingEducation Safe to assume that the teacher has been doing that the entire time.
English

@eeyore566 @Trouble42441565 @FixingEducation Send & save emails. Never just talk. Keep your paper trail intact.
English

@Trouble42441565 @FixingEducation Yes...but admin then doesn't follow up blames the teacher.
English

@eeyore566 @FixingEducation True, and should have been reported ages ago.
But in this day and age, it’s not hard to send an email to the kid, CCd to parents & admin, asking what’s up. Takes under 45 seconds, can answer many questions.
English

@FixingEducation What the teacher shpuld be doing is reporting the absences and tardies to admin. It's admin's job to follow up.
English

@sultanofswat3 @IslesCave He did get screwed by a shallow dump, but you gotta keep an eye on those details.
English

@IslesCave He was going to the bench as well as Matheson, Kapanen didn’t dump the puck cause he was afraid to take the hit, know hockey before you comment.
English

@Isleskingpen @ian_LGI16 1) Locker room cancer. Poor season happened b/c Berube couldn’t get the guy to even go 60% in practice. Try to correct him & he pouts. There’s a reason why TML don’t succeed, are looking to divest.
2)If he’s so great, 3 & B level kids won’t do. Will cost 14 or 13, A+prospect.
English

@RSBennett07 @ian_LGI16 The Leafs had a down year as a whole. Doesn't mean Nylander sucks. Your trying to tell me Nylander-Horvat-Barzal is not a legitimate first line? Crazy
English

@Isleskingpen @ian_LGI16 Wasn’t this year, and-14 is pretty gaudy for a guy who’s supposed to be that good. Petulance.
English

@RSBennett07 @ian_LGI16 40 goal scorer in his sleep and exactly what the islanders need
English

@19consecutive I am intrigued by Poletin. Others are obviously further along, but he had an excellent WJC and could be a steal if he can translate to the pros. #Isles
