Cole gibbons on a pod talking about his stress fracture and pooling in his legs with not training. I try to offer some education. No it's just part of running. We are cursed to let people continue running themselves into the ground without EVER learning a single lesson. Because people are arrogant, uneducated and most worryingly, lack curiosity.

@DrMcFillin What do we do with the patients who are so depressed that even brushing their teeth is an effort? Or those that are without hope and chronically suicidal? Will simply changing diet and increasing activity help them?

I have worked w/ people who were told that "their depression" is treatment resistant & they must be on "antidepressants for life". In these cases I have seen people overcome depression & improve their health in as short as 3-4 weeks based on a few interventions. 1. Told Depression is NOT a chronic biological disease but an indicator of areas of life that require attention and change. Dispute the chemical imbalance lie. 2. Education on the harms of antidepressant drugs (and other psych drugs) & starting the process of tapering. 3. Behavioral activation- simply starting w/ daily walks outside & facing some responsibilities that have been avoided. Build from there. 4. Diet change- and in many cases a ketogenic diet. 5. A willingness to face some problems that have existed for quite some time. The result is almost universally "I have hope now". They choose on their own to leave the psychiatry cult.

Just saw someone say they do 3 threshold workouts / week. I beg you... hire a coach. Read a running book. Learn more so you don't bang your head against a wall like this. There is a more effective, less boring way to train than doing the same type of workout over and over again

Too many influencers decided that obviously symptoms of anxiety are actually ADHD. Willing to bet half of what the tax man bummed me for this year that taking their phones away at 6pm and some magnesium would alleviate all of their symptoms in roughly 3 days. But I guess it's trendy to self diagnose now

I think this is fair but I also think Edwards knows he’s struck gold so he’s jumping ship. Boro’s underlying numbers in total have been meh all season, performances have been ok, they’re 2nd mostly in spite of him rather than because of him. It’s the Brock Purdy paradigm
