@imPenny2x Quality of life doesn’t scale with free labor but it will scale with ownership. You’re describing a world where everyone gets the dishes done and no one owns the kitchen.

As a way to kickstart universal high income I believe it makes sense to allow AI and Robotics companies to donate their intelligence or labor automation to public works projects in liu of taxes. Imagine if for example 1 of 20 Optimus robots that come off the line at Telsa were permanately allocated to building and maintaining public housing or public farming or public medicine. Or maybe some of them just go door to door helping regular people do their dishes and clean their toilets. That free labor pool keeps growing and growing and with it our quality of life grows as well. What do you think?

Spirit Airlines tried to merge with Jet Blue. A merger that would have ensured solid financial footing, continued operations, and all those jobs. But the Biden Administration and Pete Buttigieg blocked the merger. Bragged about blocking it even. So now, a brand dies. Thousands of jobs evaporate. And as always, the government bureaucrats who caused the problem, suffer the least consequences. I hope former Spirit Airlines and customers remember.

Had Spirit Airlines been allowed to merge with Jet Blue, it would have given them much more resiliency.   Thanks to @SenWarren, @PeteButtigieg, and all of their friends in the Biden Administration who backed their enthusiastic opposition to the Spirit-Jet Blue merger, dozens of regional airports will now lose service and thousands of jobs will now be lost.
