Its part of the generational cycles of Western civilization. 4 seasons per cycle. Each season or tuning lasts 20-25 years. Full cycles lasts 80-90 years. Decline started in the 3rd turning. We’re in 4th turning now. The crisis. Climax of the crisis most likely coming between now and 2030. Will end in a rebirth of sorts, or some kind of destruction. The outcome depends on us.

People picture Kansas as flat, but that is not what a lot of this country looks like. Around here, we have rolling hills, trees, wide open ground, deep draws, ditches, and rock outcroppings. In the summer, the grass gets tall and the land shows even more character. It is one of the reasons we love this area. It is not just open country. It has shape, cover, and plenty of life in it. It was 1999, and a seismic cultural shift was happening. You could feel it in Fight Club & The Matrix. The hope and sincerity the 80s & early 90s were falling out of fashion. A spiritual “meaning crisis” was moving through culture. And it came for men first.

Land management is more than just moving animals. When we rotate cattle and chickens, we are trying to steward the land in a way that helps the pasture recover, brings back wildlife, and creates a better environment for everything living here. Livestock can help cycle nutrients, and wildlife can benefit from healthier ground cover and more balanced habitat. That is part of why we do what we do. The goal is not just to use the land. The goal is to leave it better.

There are multiple theories of opinions on who is being referred to as the restrainer in 2 Thes 2:7. Best I can do is offer my own opinion. Take that for what its worth😁. What restrains evil on earth now? God working through believers through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. If we are taken up then the Holy Spirit goes with us. Then the lawless one can be revealed. We probably disagree on the timing of when Mark 13:11 is talking about. I understand that to be now during the current age, before and leading up to the Tribulation. In context the book of Joel seems to prophesy specifically about the nation Israel. As with all books of the Bible though, it has application to daily life. People before Christ’s first coming had the Spirit poured out on them but there was no indwelling until after Christ’s resurrection. Seems to me He will return back to to that mode of action during the Tribulation. Matthew 28:20. I am with you always, even to the end of the age. The end if the age could be the end of the church age, aka the time of the gentiles. Romans 11:25-27.

@RattlesnakeMeat 2 Thessalonians 2 does not say the restrainer is the Holy Spirit. He won’t be removed because Jesus said He’d be with us until the end of the age. And Mark 13:11 is about Him speaking through believers who are arrested. And Joel 2:28-32 has an ultimate end times fulfillment.

This guy has many Bible versions showing how the text is different for Revelation 13:16 regarding "mark of the beast." Some say "on" with the newer translations while the older ones say "in" meaning the "mark of the beast" will be in you, not on. Vaccine goes in you, not on you.

@Luke17_37 Seems like Romans chapter 11 is talking about the salvation granted to the gentiles because the rejection of Christ by Israel at the first coming. When He died to satisfy the penalty for our sin nature. Then overcame death by raising again.

@RattlesnakeMeat Romans 11:11-15 describes Israel’s acceptance preceding the resurrection for us all. The dead in Christ rise first before the alive and remain are caught up at the coming of the Lord (1 Th 4:15-17).

I agree that 5:9 is not talking about believers being off the earth. “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ”. This verse is preceded by 1Thes 4:13-18. Talking about how we will be “caught up” In the context it seems that believers will be removed before wrath is poured out. I enjoy a good end of the age discussion.

@RattlesnakeMeat 1 Thessalonians 5:9 in context isn’t about the Christians being off the earth. It’s about walking in the light (abiding in Christ) (1 Th 5:4-11).

@RattlesnakeMeat God didn’t have to use the word ekklesia in Revelation 6-18. It means “assembly” and can be used for unbelievers.

Correct that Noah was not taken off the earth, but he was basically caught up above the wrath of the flood waters. Lot was not taken off the earth be he was given time to get out of the city before wrath fell upon it. The website you linked was not working when I tried to look at it.

Moved the herd... Found this calf bedded down in the tall grass, exactly what they’re supposed to do. Young calves will stay hidden and still while mama grazes nearby or moves with the herd. Problem is… mama had it hidden and I wasn’t sure which cow it belong too. So I started calling like a calf… over and over… until mama heard and came looking. I could be understanding things wrong. I always try to allow for that. Just as Noah was spared from the judgement waters of the flood and Lot was spared from the fire that consumed Sodom in judgement. It seems consistent with how God works that the redeemed in Christ will be spared the judgement of the Tribulation. 1 Thes. 5:9 No mention of the Church after Revelation 4:1. Antichrist will be revealed when the Holy Spirit is take away (when the church is caught up).2 Thes. 2:6-12. Also the Tribulation is the last week of the 70 weeks of years owed to God by the nation of Israel “to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness” Daniel 9:24-27.

Around here, ranching usually means working with livestock, grazing patterns, rotations, fences, and animal care. Farming is more often used for crops like corn, wheat, soybeans, hay, or milo.
