@RayNicolet @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch You got me there. My point still stands on the other thing though
English

@DeferredFuture @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch His purpose to call customer service was not to cancel. He wanted to alter it. That was his desire. He wanted Nikki to continue being controlled to make himself feel better. When he found out he couldn’t, then he asked about canceling.
English

@RayNicolet @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch You are deadass wrong bro.
He tries to alter it. Doesn’t work
Then he tries to cancel it. Doesn’t work
You must have missed that line where he tried to cancel it.
English

@DeferredFuture @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch His real name is Baron, you idiot. When Sarah finds out his cat died, she hugs him and says she’s sorry and then calls him by his real name, Baron. Bear is the nickname his friends call him. Seems to me you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about now.
English

@RayNicolet @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch His name is also Bear.
The fact you misheard it countless times as “Baron” shows me you not hearing that line where he tried to cancel it, actually makes complete sense 💀
English

@CreamyKnee @lvl99ron @WaashyV2 I’m aware of the freaking movie, pal. I know that scene I mentioned was before the montage. It’s proof that real Nikki was always in there trying to get out from the beginning. That means even with the shit in the montage.
English

@RayNicolet @lvl99ron @WaashyV2 Dude, that conversation was after the very first night the entity took over. He explained everything that happened that specific night. After work she goes over to Bears house to apologize, the montage starts, they go to dinner, he mentions the lie, she freaks out.
English

Works perfectly if you view it as a trauma response to the scene that just happened before
Explains why she says ‘ I don’t like my dreams’
Film Crave@_filmcrave
Still recovering from that scene.
English

@DeferredFuture @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch Baron did not want to cancel the wish. He called to ALTER it. He was only with this thing controlling her mind and body. He just wanted to continue being with her but hoped she would act less crazy. The movie is called Obsession because that is what Baron is to Nikki.
English

@RayNicolet @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch You’re right he did ask to alter it before, but the movie never specifies what he would’ve altered it to.
Considering he was willing to cancel it, he may have tried to alter it to where it benefitted her instead.
English

@DeferredFuture @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch Bro you are talking shit at this point. You’re twisting what Baron does in the actually movie to try and make your point. You’re absolutely wrong. Watch the movie again
English

@CreamyKnee @lvl99ron @WaashyV2 Just because you didn’t shit on the montage doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. The next morning at work after making the wish, Baron told Ian that Nikki would cry uncontrollably and then would snap out of it.
English

@lvl99ron @RayNicolet @WaashyV2 Nah I agree the dinner scene woke real Nikki up bc the montage was perfectly normal. He was happy and she was becoming more obsessed. I think as the entity kept doubting his love for her, the real Nikki has more power to interrupt.
English

@DeferredFuture @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch He didn’t try or want to cancel his wish at all. He asked to “alter” his wish. He wanted to continue having Nikki being forced to be with him
English

@RayNicolet @acehikmouyz @zoeyduatch No he wasn’t??
He tried to cancel the wish a few scene earlier, and he was constant trying to escape her 😭
He literally wasn’t happy one time after the montage scene in the beginning
English

@Timmay1Timmay @HiddenTillFound He wishes someone to love him that isn’t earned or deserved. He takes the time to read reviews of the wish willow. The reviews were split with half saying it actually worked. So he makes the wish hoping it works and knowing it’s a 50/50 shot of working. Nikki didn’t owe him shit
English

@RayNicolet @HiddenTillFound He's only a bit pathetic at the start. He doesn't take advantage when Nicki first starts bugging out. He only lets his guard down initially when given the 'molly' explanation. Once he fully understands what he's done then he becomes the villain.
English

Bear is definitely the villain, but is it a hot take to say that he was innocent during the first night?
Cody Leach@CodyLeachYT
#Obsession has taken the horror community by storm and a highly debated question has risen: Who is the REAL villain of the movie? I don't think there is much room for debate but here is why I feel the film's protagonist ultimately becomes the antagonist. youtube.com/watch?v=HVSqqC…
English

@Rafael501st @WilsonCleveland Because ultimately WW84 was a critical and financial failure. That’s why. All the buzz is on Obsession right now. Baron being a piece of shit adds to the story. Wonder Wonder being a piece of shit gets a pass because she’s Wonder Woman
English

@RayNicolet @WilsonCleveland Not like we're seeing here and what she did was worse cause she KNOWS magic exists and what's happening
English

Thought experiment if you’ve seen #Obsession. If the roles were reversed but the script & story stayed the same - so Nikki makes the wish and it’s Bear who gets trapped, would there be more, less, or similar doubt as to whether Nikki was the villain of the movie?
The Hollywood Reporter@THR
Michael Johnston on his #Obsession character being the villain: "I never thought of Bear as a villain...I do think that he leans more toward the bad in a lot of ways. But it was really important to keep the audience rooting for him in some ways." hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-f…
English

@UteCootin @oscar_farmer02 Huh? He was never under the assumption that the wish never worked. Maybe deep down he felt he didn’t have 100% confirmation but he knew something was absolutely fucked.
English

@oscar_farmer02 Wait what? The time they have intercourse for the first time he is still under the assumption the wish didn't work and she came over admitting the night they kissed she was on molly. But yeah the rest is true.
English

@_samanthalux He was literally making an innocent wish that he knew would never become real dude. Wtf is wrong with all of you
English

“Obsession” perfectly illustrated that the patriarchy teaching men to repress their feelings and not be vulnerable, and resort to control over genuine love, imprisons them to a life of loveless misery. 10/10
Pop Base@PopBase
What are your thoughts on Obsession?
English

@TyriqFan Rachel McAdams deserves praise for her performance in Send Help. Her character also happens to be garbage and nobody was giving her a pass
English

Yall hate the main dude from obsession but love the crazy girl from send help who murdered 3 innocent people 😭😭
Sammy J Jonah Jameson@SammyJReacts
I hope they’re living long healthy lives
English

@lsatterfield @WilsonCleveland Did you forget that he stuck his fingers down his throat and tried to vomit the pills up? The only reason he stopped is because of the wish made by Nikki that unknowingly hills him. Baron had no redemption arc. He was trash to the very end
English

@WilsonCleveland I think same. There’s a lot of care put into the film to make sure we sympathize with Bear. We become frustrated his choices, but he knows the same thing that we do: There is no out; he has to die to help her. He tries every option but finally resigns to that reality.
English

@Rafael501st @WilsonCleveland WW84 absolutely had backlash for the wish that Diana made.
English

@WilsonCleveland I dont think all the women and white knights who are going hard on Bear would go anywhere as hard on Nikki if it were flipped.
Mind you, WW84 has Wonder Woman become a rapist in a similar way to Bear
English

@Occulence @WilsonCleveland There is no “entity” in this movie
English

@skylersoler @carouselshotgun Bear is the nickname his friends gave him
English

@carouselshotgun his actual name is Baron but his nickname is Bear? I was wondering who would name their kid Bear
English

@carouselshotgun @riley_istired He does know it’s not really her before the customer service call. What the heck are you talking about
English

@riley_istired he doesn’t know that it’s not nikki UNTIL the phone call tho. WE as an audience know it bc we know the plot. doesn’t make it any less reprehensible, but he is blinded. the point of no return is that phone call.
English

@LauraRbnsn Obsession is not Barbarian. You’re not supposed the laughing your ass off
English

@archangel221742 @CodyLeachYT @HiddenTillFound Innocent until the call to customer service? You can’t be serious. How ridiculous, pal
English

@CodyLeachYT @HiddenTillFound I would say he's innocent till the phone call
English
