I think the reason a lot of people struggle w sad expressions is because they’re focusing on making sure the character still looks good. Crying and despair and anguish isn’t SUPPOSED to look good. Don’t be afraid to make them a little ugly!!

Have any insiders claimed to know the grittier details of Nintendo's deal with Sony? I can't imagine Nintendo signed a deal that gives Sony exclusive rights to the Zelda IP for any and all movie adaptations in perpetuity or anything like that. That'd be a losing move.

Mario is no longer underground. It’s become mainstream. Now I’m seeing Mario in lush, at bakeries, etc.
It used to be cool now everyone likes it now it’s not cool anymore.

@sleeterbig The issue with Gerald is that before his fight we’re asked to take him seriously with his motivations, but then he kind of reverts to being a joke. This fight was already more lighthearted, so it’s less jarring.
Also, Bowser put up more of a fight beforehand.
