@EthanLevins2 False. Bint Jbeil is under full IDF control. The IDF has captured and dismantled weapons caches and infrastructure. Clashes have stopped, and Hezbollah operatives are surrendering.

@DanFmTo @jakluge You are right about ships at sea, except yesterday the US Navy was given a hunting license for them. Any country that decides to go get one could do so and take it home. US & others could "buy" the oil at price equal to what China pays & place money into receiver account for Iran

Iran knows that its leverage in negotiations only grows over time. That's a strong incentive to slow down talks. The only way the US can get a quick deal is if Iran fears a ground invasion. But it's unclear if that is a credible threat, because it would be so unpopular in the US.

It aborted its first attempt on Sunday when US-Iran talks collapsed in Islamabad, then succeeded on its second try today, transiting along a Tehran-approved route between Qeshm and Larak islands. According to Iranian media, the ship is carrying 2 million barrels of oil.
