The Bible gives no pattern for salvation in which one must believe in anything remotely close to the Trinity. Jesus never taught it, nor did the apostles.

Hypothetical: a couple is engaged, has premarital sex while engaged, becomes pregnant, and then gets married. They acknowledge the sin and repent. Do you think God views this as the same level of sin as premarital sex with someone you never marry?

I love Mormon history and the theology and dedicated my life to it. It is a beautiful religion with new mythology that ties the ancient world with the new, and a purpose to become ultimately as God is. I’m angry that it’s not true. I wish it was.

Science and religion are NOT compatible. One is a rigorous process of testing and measuring reality, the other is essentially making things up. Why do we keep pretending they belong in the same conversation? 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints spent more on humanitarian aid than nearly every nation on the earth in 2025. No faith-based entity provides more humanitarian aid. No Church membership dedicates more volunteer hours. No organization does it at the global scale.

I'm a 55 year old, highly educated, practicing attorney. I've read the Book of Mormon more times than I can count. I've spent thousands of hours studying the Old and New Testaments, as well as LDS Church doctrine and history. I've read the revelation, writings, and papers of Joseph Smith and many books written about him, by members and non members alike. I've read or heard virtually every piece of anti Mormon material imaginable. I've attended thousands of hours of church services, sunday school classes, seminary programs, college level religion courses, and devoted two years exclusively to study and preaching as an ordained minister. I've literally devoted much of my life to the pursuit of gospel knowledge. Most importantly, I've received divine confirmation from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith is a prophet and that the Book of Mormon is true. But yeah, with all due respect random anonymous Twitter guy, forgive me if I don't take your word for it that my religion is false.

Galatians 1:8 is talking about the creeds and their false religions, not about Joseph Smith.

@BruceNorth46058 Bruce, please be honest, we know that the BOM was not translated it was transcribed, word by word, line by line. Joseph said the next word would not appear until it was written down perfectly, then the next word would appear. But changes were later made?

If we had the golden plates in a museum, and every expert in the world agreed Joseph translated the Book of Mormon correctly, would that "prove" The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true? Would everyone be compelled to join the Church?

You can lie about the Book of Mormon all you want and say it is demonic or preaches a different Jesus other than He found in the Bible. I will just quote it verbatim to prove to the world that you are a liar.

If you continue reading you’ll see that we are called to judge righteously without hypocrisy. God calls homosexuality an abomination. We should warn and share the gospel

My Bible, my God tells me 1) "Judge not, that you be not judged" Matthew 7:1 (NIV) and 2) "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12 (NIV). I hate no one. I will respect anyone that shows respect to themselves in how they conduct themselves and their bodies and how they respect me (this goes for both gay and straight)!
