🚨Rumor roundup on #Xperia1VIII cameras 📸 Telephoto: Expecting a sensor change this year, likely in the 1/3.5" to ~1/3.0" range, along with subtle refinements to the lens design. Zoom range is expected to stay the same, but we might see improvements to telemacro performance,

Goodbye, Sony. Goodbye, Xperia 1 VII. This might be the last Xperia—I hope we’ll still see an Xperia 1 VIII this year. If you’ve ever used an Xperia, you’ll understand why it’s on the verge of fading away.

A question I see often is "How do I stay motivated to finish my game?" My best advice is to NOT rely on Motivation, and instead rely on Self-Discipline. Motivation is something that you have no control over, it comes and goes, it's random. Whereas Self-Discipline is something you CAN control. If you truly want to make games as a professional (there are no rules if you're just making it for fun) then you need to treat it like a professional task. Meaning you need to do what you NEED to do whether you feel like it or not. There's not magic answer beyond that, it's just how it is. Good thing is how Self-Discipline is a skill that you can learn! I used to be terrible, back when I started making a living from my games and I tried to force myself to work it did not go well. I was only able to force myself to work about 2 hours per day and that was it. But over time I focused on learning that skill and nowadays I can work 8-10 hour days without issues even if the thing I need to do isn't something I particularly feel like doing. If it has to be done then it has to be done.

@LeakerApple @MaazMz Why would any computer want to do that? Some apps might be unoptimized, hence leading to memory spikes. Guess what happens if all memory is used up

@MaazMz Your mac is meant to use as much memory as possible even when idle. Unused memory is wasted memory.

@LeakerApple Even apple went from stainless to titanium to aluminum (just like most androids, without any shame...) i dont see the reason why pointing fingers at Samsung for this is needed

It‘s so obvious this thing is going to get discontinued. Samsung keeps copying Apple and failing, it’s hilarious. - Galaxy Watch Ultra was a flop - S25 Edge was a flop - Galaxy XR is a flop - They copied titanium with the S24U and switched back to aluminium with the S26U (no shame) - Galaxy Wide Fold will also be a flop Hopefully they’ll learn their lesson and start doing their own thing like they used to.

@DukeNuk34653734 @LeakerApple I used to use it with Unity, to make 2D games. With VS running in parallel. But it wasn't a nice experience, enough for me to stop using it for that, except for the few projects I already have on it. As for the lag issues, sometimes it's even in the home screen with safari.

Let's clear some things up. HP Pros: - 16GB memory - Touch screen At $650 (without sale) MacBook Neo Pros: - Higher resolution display - Brighter display - More premium build - A18 Pro chip (60% faster in single core, 20% faster multicore) - Longer battery life - Better webcam At $599 (including student discount) MacBook Neo is undoubtedly the better buy. If 8GB RAM is really a dealbreaker for you, then neither of these laptops will suit your needs. Windows sucks with RAM management, and this HP laptop won't be able to handle your workload without overheating and dying in 2 hours.

This is the MacBook Neo's competition btw 😭

@UnityCodeMonkey My biggest question is, and am still figuring it out tbh. In a worse case scenario, ship a very bad code, given it works, then refactor? Or try to make it somewhat clean. I would lean towards the second opinion, but curious to hear when the first would be an option

The BEST Programming SUPERPOWER: Refactoring! Code is NOT meant to be perfect on the first go. Code is NOT set in stone, instead it is meant to be malleable, it is meant to change and modify over time as you figure out better ways of doing things. So do not be afraid of not writing the first draft perfectly, it is not meant to be perfect. Remember how you can always go back and refactor if you need to. This is also a great defense against one of the biggest diseases that affect programmers: Overengineering. Writing code is fun, but you probably don't need whatever system you're writing to be insanely modular and support 100 different features, you probably just need a handful right now. So write just what you need right now, and later on if you need some more features you can just go back and refactor!

@TheGalox_ The aluminium helps lol. Unless there's a scientific way for you to isolate that the aluminium is not helping then this is just a guess.

Aluminum is not the reason the iPhone 17 Pro series is cooler than previous models Its the vapor chamber The same reason why the S26 Ultra is similar in cooling to the S25 Ultra. One uses Aluminum, the other Titanium, but both have Vapor Chambers

@suchnerve Xperia 1 VII, has 3.5mm jack, has tool-less expandable storage and sim tray, has a 5000mah battery, has IP68 certification. And somehow Sony also found the space to include a moving optical zoom lens in that phone as well... So space isn't a reason to not include a 3.5mm jack

Headphone jack removal discourse is so needlessly binary. Removing it from phones SPECIFICALLY makes sense because bigger battery + limiting points of ingress improves water and dust resistance; what DOESN’T make sense is not including free USB-C earbuds and wireless chargers.

@Redstoneinvente @LeakerApple There may be something wrong with your Macbook then, unless you are doing some crazy heavy workloads. As I am sure you've read online, the Macbook Pro's (M1 onwards) fans are quite hard to trigger to turn on.
