@ELCHAMBERS @Chippy20Chips @ruffydfire Imagine that. Had Johnathan meted out same treatment to them, would APC had been registered as a party? He warned us about the evil party but we were too deceived by progaganda to heed.

JUST IN: President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, has been caught on video openly advising Leke Abejide, a key figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), to remain in the party and “fight them… scatter them.” In the viral video, Gbajabiamila, while speaking with Abejide, urged him not to abandon the ADC despite ongoing leadership crises and court battles rocking the opposition party. “I know you to be a committed party man. I know you to be a fighter… So please, my charge to you is to stay in that same ADC. Fight them. Scatter them! Hold on to your party, ADC. Do not abandon them. We like what you are doing. Continue,” Gbajabiamila said. He dismissed suggestions that Abejide should leave the ADC, insisting that the party belongs to him since he built it “with your sweat and your money.” “Don’t mind them — the former Governor said that you should come and join… No, no, no. Stay in ADC. Win your election in ADC as you will. Bring Dada Gombe… Those of us in support… Do the right thing. You are a fighter,” he added. Gbajabiamila further encouraged Abejide to fight in court to retain control of the party. The explosive video has sparked massive outrage online, with many accusing the Tinubu administration of actively working to destabilise the opposition ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections. Watch the video in the comment section.

@instablog9ja This is Leahy's Law playing out. Exactly the reason America under Obama refused selling arms to Nigerian government during Johnathan's reign. They cited this military abuse on civilians as the main reason. This kind of abuse is also what some claim birthed Boko Haram.

@brucejoe001 @Chippy20Chips @ruffydfire Honestly, his shenanigans prior to 2023 and now 2027 gives one room to think if he isn't a secret agent for Tinubu, haven been handed the presidential ticket in 2007 under Tinubu's ACN by same Tinubu 2 contest the then presidential election. Maybe they're still allies in disguise

@Chippy20Chips @ruffydfire At some point one begins to think if Atiku is working for Tinibu or something. Cos how could they have not known that taking over an existing party would birth all the crisis it has so far. What happened to creating a totally new platform?

@marcaronified @ruffydfire Nothing like propaganda. It's factual, you all should not use reverse psychology on Nigerians. Who was the INEC Chairman in 2023 for that post to have his name, image and year that it would be forged? Or would u say they doctored the tweet, AI can clear you on that.

Your propaganda post generated thousands of likes within minutes which has done the damage and hatchet job already, now copying and pasting INEC’s rebuttal on your page can barely generate 300 likes. This is the standard of journalism in Nigeria. A journalist should be responsible for reporting facts amidst propaganda and rumours (people should look up to your page for facts), not amplifying propaganda and being a propaganda machine for opposition, then coming afterwards to counter your own propaganda with official reports. It is insane, this can only happen in Nigeria. Lawless country. You can’t be in the USA and not have lost your license a long time ago, especially in this Trump era. You will never practice again in your miserable life. The Nigeria Government should sue your ass and get you banned from the profession. The mob will only cry for two days and move on, but the right thing has been done. Young, impressionable people will be saved from disinformation.

INEC: Amupitan does not own an X account, has never engaged in partisan commentary The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has dismissed claims circulating on social media that Joash Amupitan, its chairman, owns a personal account on X. Recently, claims circulated online alleging that Amupitan operated a personal account on X and had used it to endorse or interact with a partisan post. Details in comment section.

So I thought you claimed you work with facts. Does that sound factual to you? You're misinforming the public. He was no celebrity in 2023 and was neither in the public space in 2023 that a random person will use his image and his name to act. What can you call the action of changing the name as soon as he was caught?

@firstladyship Why should we be surprised? A nation where a sitting president appoints an INEC chairman, isn't it his loyalist and supporter he would appoint? Nigeria as a nation is so super unserious. The founders of this democracy should be blamed.

I said this 6 months ago and if you want to know why ADC is more confused than the mad man that used to advise Gregory, here are the facts; 1. A party where everybody wants to be president (selfish) cannot build a virile opposition 2. A party built on hostile take-over cannot survive the storm 3. A party where the members have double standards that they apply to people cannot see road 4. A party where the presidential aspirants have changed political parties like chameleon cannot have ideology 5. A party where their leaders see Nigerians as a means to an end cannot coordinate 6. A party where their leaders’s desperation is a do or die affair cannot govern Nigerians Finally, have you not noticed that they are more confused now than they were when their journey started? I said it before, “give them six months and they would come crashing”; it is evident before our very eyes. Say no to association of desperate congregation (ADC)

@firstladyship I just feel Tinubu changed this original anthem simply because of that LABOUR of our heroes past. He doesn't want anything that would propagate the word LABOUR party that nearly took breathe away from him in 2023 till he succeeded to scatter the party today.

@DanielRegha They should have allowed you to appoint them. You talk so foolishly at times. Is the INEC Chairman an authority unto himself/herself, such that they can willy-nilly disobey lawful orders of court? You swing in all directions, hence no one can on you to any defined ideology.

@KwankwasoRM Our unseriousness as a nation gets to its peak when the constitution allows the president who gets elected or reelected into office by the decision of INEC, allows same person elect it's chairman. Isn't it a simple case of he who pays the piper dictates the tune?

Today, I joined fellow coalition leaders and committed democrats to strongly condemn the blatant partisanship and compromised neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The peaceful procession in Abuja united various opposition groups in a clear message: we will not stand idly by while our electoral umpire undermines the will of the people. We shall continue to closely monitor INEC’s activities and demand that it immediately returns to the path of impartiality, transparency, and professionalism so that democracy can thrive in Nigeria. - RMK

@ng_gwg @Imranmuhdz @Akanbi_Semilore I quite disagree with ur submission. Contesting the highest political office in Nigeria, he can't do that solely. To catch a monkey u have to act like one. Sometimes I wonder about the rationale behind Obi joining ADC. If it was truly about “rescuing Nigeria” or the “A New Nigeria Is Possible” mantra, then joining ADC defeats that ideology. It never really made sense to me. You cannot join the same structure you are trying to defeat while at the same time promising change. If he was promised the VP position, I also wonder how that would work. In a presidential system, a vice president is widely seen as a doormat; how exactly would he execute such an agenda, especially with a Fulani northerner at the helm? That seems almost impossible. I felt it was a huge mistake to make that jump, but alas, Obidients always find excuses for him as if he is infallible and can never do wrong. Some of us, however, are watching from the sidelines. If Labour was no longer palatable for him, he could have created a new party, like Seriake Dickson did. His followers would likely have gravitated toward that rather than joining an obvious “structure of criminality” he once condemned. I can’t wait to see how he is going to convince his followers to either jump ship again, remain with ADC as a random member, or accept him as a VP candidate, and how that will be received. I wish him well, nonetheless.

You claimed tone promoting the president, but after the interview, do you honestly think you make your principal look better or worse? The way I see it, Tinubu is not someone that cares about his image, that's why he appoint someone like you in the first place. Your appointment is meant to be a punishment, but you won't know because it also comes with a paycheck.

PRESS STATEMENT In the last 24 hours, social media has exploded over my interview with Mehdi Hassan, albeit with varied opinions. Let me set the record straight. When I signed on to the privileged job granted to me by Mr. President, I was well aware of its implications. Selling ice cream, looking fine, and seeking the praises of men were never part of it. Some of the fiercest critics of my interview can not even stand local TV anchors. But the task of promoting and defending the President and his administration is what I do with ease and joy. I am prepared to appear before any interviewer, anywhere in the world, any day and at any time, to defend this government and its policies. I have never, and will never, subscribe to ducking or dodging interviews on matters that concern promoting and defending the administration I was appointed to serve. It is the least of what is required of me. Head to Head contacted me requesting an interview, stating that they wanted to challenge our government on security, the economy, and corruption. Nowhere in our almost six months of communication did they mention that they were going to challenge my past. If that had been their plan, ethically and professionally, they were supposed to inform me so I could prepare my response. But that’s okay, ethically, that is on them, not on me. I refused to swallow the pill of Mehdi’s “opposition research-style journalism,” and even today, if you carefully compare what he read as quotes from organisations and groups, you will see that many were inaccurate and some were outright fake news. But I will leave that for another day. As for what I said about President Tinubu in the past, I am glad those were things I said when I was in the opposition saddle with such zeal. It is all politics. Half of Donald Trump’s cabinet is made up of people who once spoke against him, and quite a number of people in our own cabinet also spoke against President Tinubu in the past. Those things do not bother him if you care to know. The majority of the naysayers are members of the opposition and their sympathisers. It does not bother me one bit. Their temporary excitement over the interview has not lasted and will not last, because it does not take away their obvious problem of lack of vision, mission in conducting and managing a political party; yet they seek to manage Nigeria. Clearly they have no path to victory and no alternative policies or program for the Nigerian people. And if they say they do, they can as well go to head to head and be interrogated on that; as the saying in Hausa goes “Ga fili Ga doki” I conclude by thanking the many Nigerians and non-Nigerians who sent in their commendations over my brave defence of our government in an interview where the anchor would hardly let you answer a question unless it suited his narrative. I still have admiration and respect for Mehdi Hassan as arguably the best debater on the planet. I look forward to part two of the Head to Head interview, and I am glad that by then questions about my past will no longer be news so that we can focus on our administration’s policies, programs and what we have achieved so far. Stay tuned. – D.H Bwala Special Adviser to President on Media and Policy Communication (State House) Saturday March 7, 2026
