Do yourself a favor and help amend the verbiage to where NY doesn’t lose more housing the way AZ has. These hosts are pure greed and they will take everything in their power. #HomesNotHotels

NYC is facing a housing crisis. Now, proposed legislation advanced by Airbnb would make it worse by turning our homes into hotels, driving up rents & gutting housing protections. Housing should be for us, not for generating windfall profits for Airbnb. Reject Airbnb & its bill.

@tacayler @TenantsFirstNYC The hotel lobby in NYC is doing everything it can to squash small businesses by preventing owners from able to do short term rentals. The left have been crying about “affordable housing” when what they mean is nearly free housing. There’s no housing for middle class.

As it was meant to be. THAT was the original Airbnb model. AZ has lost neighborhoods and now has a housing crisis because our overseers didn’t amend a thing. Out of state LLCs bought up blocks. STRs have destroyed any sense of community.

@TenantsFirstNYC Even the bill's sponsors say it is a bad bill: Gia Sharp wants to amend the bill to specify properties must be owner-occupied in order to have short-term guests — discouraging companies from buying up housing to rent it out to travelers. nakedcapitalism.com/2024/12/should… Ahhh . . . dah!
