Excellent to see @CharlotteCGill on @joshxhowie’s show to discuss the appointments made by Burnham in No. 10, including former Hope Not Hate director Matthew McGregor. The white collar antifia - responsible for the defamation of hundreds of ordinary British people on the basis of sincerely held belief - have snuck into government using the Trojan horse of Mr Burnham. Gill’s work on @WokeWaste details how coordinated the left are, and, their capture of the charitable sector to further their aims. One vector is through gatekeeping on the basis of belief, and designating dissenters as non-persons in political life. HNH in particular has been seen to engage in this, and more. What has become known as ‘stochastic terrorism’ has been pursued against figures on the British right in this manner, appearing to justify harm done unto them for their political outlook. HNH’s page lengthily demonising Anne Widdecombe was swiftly removed following her death in suspicious circumstances. Similar HNH pages remain live for a number of centre right political figures, alongside political activists.

Tettenborn is correct. If you (still) believe the Oxfams of the world a harmless moral good, think again. The NGO sector is responsible for 20% of any given electoral manifesto, gains a third of their income from the taxpayer without consent, and has outsider-preference baked into everything they do. The Christian (and even the ‘Humanist’) notion of charity as a virtue has been subverted; the NGO ecosystem in Britain was designed as a complimentary asset to assist with the political pursuit of open border demographic terraformation. Even our national lottery is complicit in this. A former Hope Not Hate director, and a current director, are now due to become key members of Burnham’s team in No.10. The only way a future government can meaningfully disable organisations like this, who delight in censorship and ruination, is by taking the legislative and regulatory tools which they wield against ordinary people away from them - this would also neutralise the activists to whom they outsource harm. 'The UK' is not just emulating China – it now exceeds it as an authoritarian state. In China, the Dui Hua Foundation (@duihua) estimated there were 7,000–7,300 current political/religious prisoners, with 1,508 new cases added in one recent year (2021). The UK records 1.2 Million expression related 'criminal incidents' each year, comparable to the number of criminal convictions (outright, for all crime) in China. The UK convicts 10,000-15,000 people under the speech and expression provisions of the Public Order Act 1986 alone each year. That single act likely leads to arrests totalling 3x that amount. This is just one legal mechanism, among many, which restricts speech in the UK. China has banned VPNs that were not 'state-approved' in 2022. Fighting continuous rear-guard actions against our British legislation which can (and should) be repealed is undesirable. Legislative repeals, and restraint on future state interference, is the way. When asked outright, the public do not want “unlawful speech” to invite sanction - or “financial consequences for expression” at the behest of the state. The problem laws are well known, and the solutions are already available in Bill form, @asi’s Freedom of Speech Bill for one. Reactionary Reading Law (@LawReading) offers a pleasant, but appropriately cautious review of my Oblivion Act (2026) proposal - which suggests rolling repeal of all legislation (and subordinate legislation) since 1900, with the burden on ministers & parliament to expressly retain it. His review of this proposal raises a key issue with it; lack of competency in government. I am in agreement that specialist sectors, Energy for one, would certainly need expertise not currently found within ministers or parliament at large. Comically, the weakness of having an inexperienced parliament presents the biggest problem to unravelling the sum of its past deeds. An inverted burden might be used for protected infrastructure & services, though, ministerial fiefdoms being what they are, there will be a fight to expand what is considered “essential” (in the manner Lockdown categorised labour/industries) if such a bill were enacted. The offering seeks to advance the conversation around wide-ranging repeals; the imagination of the reformer need not be a slave to caution (at least not entirely). The Adam Smith Institute's Freedom of Speech Bill abolishes "grossly offensive" speech as a criminal category. These posts, whilst wildly offensive, are nonetheless nonviolent expressions of opinion and in the drafters' view should not be criminalized.
