WTAF is wrong with you?

The way seemingly every single custody battle goes, makes me think otherwise. The dad shouldn't have done this, but were bite marks found on his scalp during autopsy? Those weren't face-plants. Unfortunately, exes are out for blood so we need an ounce of skepticism and figure out what's real and what isn't.

NEW: Mother breaks down in court as she watches her son’s father abuse her child by making him run on the treadmill because he was “too fat.” New Jersey father Christopher Gregor is accused of killing his 6-year-old son Corey Micciolo. New footage shows the boy repeatedly face planting as Gregor forces him to run on a treadmill that was moving too fast. The father was allegedly biting him in the head as he forced him to run. Shortly after the incident, Corey was rushed to the doctor because he was slurring his words and stumbling. During a CT scan, Corey had a seizure and died. The autopsy report says he died from “blunt force injuries with cardiac and liver contusions with acute inflammation and sepsis.” (NYP) Gregor is facing life in prison.

@AlisaValdesRod1 @cdc Judges usually side with fathers, even (or especially?) when abuse is alleged. The (sometimes internalized) misogyny runs deep and family courts are deeply corrupt.

@ParamilyUK Family count is so broken. I had a family member who did this and after she left he sexually assaulted the children when they visit and once kidnapped them. She still has to co parent with his continuing toxic influence 😞

An abuse victim leaving abuse with children: Police: Stop all contact Social: Leave him to keep the kids safe Family Court: You will now be sentenced to co-parent with him forever. Failure to do so means he will get the kids. He deserves it, no matter what he has done.

When did you realize this was happening? It wasn’t clear to me until the end & I started therapy. I was so angry when I found out. I spent so much time blaming myself for my depression & loss of myself. I had no idea how/why it happened. I finally learned it was never my fault.
