Pictures show the total loss of 81-0005, an E-3G “Sentry” Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Aircraft with the U.S. Air Force’s 552nd Air Control Wing based out of Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, following yesterday’s Iranian ballistic missile and drone attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The strike appears to have purposefully targeted the most important part of the E-3, that being rear of the aircraft which holds its rotating radar dome, containing several sensitive instruments including antennas for the E-3’s AN/APY-2 Surveillance Radar System.

⚓️🇬🇧 Les bras m'en tombent. Elle a le plus gros budget Marine en Europe pour sa marine et UK dépensent le plus depuis des décennies pour sa #Défense, devant la France ou Allemagne. Elle a 2 CVF/7 SNA à 38 armes, 4 SNLE/6 T45 Daring Class et avait 13 T23 ASM mais #WTF ...

@Geometriquement J'ai beau être fan du Rafale, je pense que le meilleur choix pour la Suisse aurait été le Grippen. (Coûts moindres pour une armée de l'air qui n'a pas d'autres objectifs que d'être souverain dans son espace aérien)

Oui oui, l’Iran pourrait évidemment sortir un Dassault Rafale ou une FREMM frigate demain matin… il lui manque juste les puces, les machines, les matériaux, les chaînes industrielles et l’accès au système financier mondial. Un détail quoi.

Bomber Mission 40 - The B-2 Spirit Returns! #FreeIran --- Operation EPIC FURY --- Alongside a single flight of B-1B "Lancer" bombers from RAF Fairford, the other visitors to Iran yesterday were a flight of B-2A "Spirit" bombers from Whiteman AFB (KSZL) in the mainland US. At present it's unclear how many bombers exactly (I'm sure we'll hear from CENTCOM at some point), but based on analysis of the tanker assets involved in the mission compared with previous B-2 runs, I believe 4 or more bombers is likely. These have likely hit targets in Iran that the UK was not permitting Fairford-based B-1/B-52 aircraft to hit. The B-2s are confirmed to be somewhere over the mid-Atlantic heading home now, hence posting this at this time. This is the 40th bomber mission I've tracked since the start of #OperationEpicFury! Mission XL B-2A (x4?) "KIOSK63" flt Plus tankers from: Lajes (LPLA), Sofia (LBSF), Bucharest (LROP) and elsewhere! @JuanmaX01 @Diodotus__I @sentdefender You can see here on AF78-0577, cold on ground, that even with hydrolics, some of the slats fall and others stays in.
Additionally, the pitot tube of the top of the vertical tail was most likely blown off by the explosion, knowing it is a weak element of the airframe

@JuanmaX01 @Diodotus__I @sentdefender The frame has suffered massive loss of hydrolics, which made some of the slats (that are supposed to be retracted while cold on ground) fall due to the lack of hydrolic pressure. The circuit of the external slats hydrolics are most likely closed from the rest for some of them
