Once you see a politician using his mouth too much in attack of opponents, directly or subtly, just know they have lost it… A smart politician keeps his identity & focuses on his own agenda… We have seen RELENTLESS smear campaigns against Dr Tagwirei… Even American linked publications like the @TheSentry_Org tried to resurrect by publishing and republishing baseless dossiers attacking Dr Tagwirei & other ZANU PF leaders… All these attacks and smear campaigns never made Dr Tagwirei to lose his credibility or his character… He remained a loyal ZANU PF cadre & remained an unwavering supporter of President Mnangagwa’s vision…. That’s FOCUS! …

ILLEGAL MINING -MUTARE RIVER A major crackdown along the Mutare River has forced illegal miners, including Chinese nationals, to flee into nearby mountains as security forces moved in on alluvial gold mining sites. The Provincial Joint Operations Command—comprising the Zimbabwe National Army, Zimbabwe Republic Police, and State Security—targeted unlawful mining activities that have been degrading the river and polluting water sources. Key developments: 🔹 12 excavators believed to have been used by foreign nationals were recovered near the Beaulie area, concealed in thick bush. 🔹 At Champion Mine, a wash plant, generator, and submersible pump were seized. Three suspects—including two private security guards—were arrested and are now in police custody. 🔹 Eight people were arrested for criminal trespass at Chikanga Farm. 🔹 A range of mining equipment was seized, including gas blowers, submersible pumps, generators, shovels, and heavy-duty hammers. 🔹 An unregistered liquor outlet was also discovered and shut down. Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed that all recovered excavators remain under armed police guard at the sites. Why this matters: The District Water and Sanitation Subcommittee has long raised concerns over cyanide used in alluvial mining, which pollutes river bodies and has caused livestock deaths. Communities downstream depend on the Mutare River for drinking water, irrigation, and livestock. Is re-assignment same as removal?? Certainly not because re-assignment is transfer which means Ms Majome has not ceased being a Commissioner. Removal would be if she ceases being a Commissioner. As the announcement shows, she remains a Commissioner only that she is now a Commissioner in the PSC. So the President’s decision is above board, totally lawful, totally constitutional. ED Number 1 gweta ka Zimbabwe yose so he knows the law too well. Section 237(3) which provides that the procedure of removal of Commissioners is the same as for Judge is therefore inapplicable as this is not a removal but re-assignment. S202(1)(b) empowers the President to appoint members of the PSC. She has been appointed in terms of that provision. s202 gives the President very broad latitude and power in appointing the PSC. No procedure is prescribed. He does not have to explain or do anything apart from just appointing. Re-assignment pertains to her transfer from the ZHRC to the PSC which is totally constitutional as provided for by the following provisions: S340(1)(b) provides that power to appoint includes power to transfer or re-assign as the President has done in casu. Also s42(3) speaks to implied conferment of power. The re-assignment is totally constitutional.
