@bdomenech There was a neighbor across the street from my church that put out a sign saying, "If Jesus was alive today, ICE would shoot him in the face!" I'm just like, "Have I got some news for you!"

Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 1 Co 15:1–2.

Why is there so many Lutherans that are against early communion?😞 (ages; 10-14).

Jesus does not say, “It’s almost finished, as soon as you do your part.” He says, “It is finished.” No sin remains un-died for. He did it all, all for you.

@bwolfmueller Could you show a bit of your work for definitively saying that it’s the 1994th anniversary?

@RobDFB Not to mention that it eliminates the decision of whether or not to call a timeout, which came into play quite a bit this past weekend—even in a relatively uneventful first weekend of the tournament.

This Episcopal pastor's X-rated version of the "Woman at the Well" is one of the grossest abuses of Scripture that I've ever heard notthebee.com/t3cff

The LCMS needs to be open and honest with itself and its parishioners by admitting that it has political parties.

This seems like so much of French's stuff lately in that it addresses zero of the actual concerns of conservative Christian while assuring left-wing non-Christians that the conservative Christians are being bad Christians.
David French@DavidAFrench

There are a lot of evangelicals on this website who seem to strongly believe that no person can disagree with them on cultural issues and also be a decent person. This is the mirror image of the hyper-woke left, which also rejects the idea that decent people can disagree. 1/3

Every David French piece: "The Real Christians are the people who make my employer happy. Policy doesn't matter and neither does theology, missionary work, or evangelism. Real Christians are just super nice in a specifically liberal way."
David French@DavidAFrench

If the primary American divide is between right and left, then Talarico isn’t that interesting. There’s a long history of progressive religious activism in the United States, just as there is a long history of conservative religious activism. Yet if the primary American divide is between decent and indecent, then the equation changes. Talarico shines. nytimes.com/2026/03/08/opi…

Governor Andy Beshear and Texas Senate candidate James Talarico frequently invoke their Christian faith as a guiding influence on their approach to governance and public policy. Yet it is striking that the label "Christian nationalist" — so readily deployed in other contexts — is conspicuously absent in the national media’s treatment of them. The explanation is not complicated. The professional media and political class have no principled objection to Christianity in public life. Their objection is to Christian conservatism. When faith functions as a delivery mechanism for progressive policy priorities, it earns approving coverage. When it doesn't, it earns a slur. The label "Christian Nationalist" was never really a theological diagnosis. It's a political weapon — and like most weapons, it's only aimed in one direction.

When it comes to kids in church, 80% of parents need to hear that their kids are not nearly as disruptive as they think and that they should keep bringing their kids. 20% of parents will inflict their screaming banshees on anyone forever nonstop before they will ever reconsider their terrible non-parenting strategies. The challenge with these "bring your noisy kids!" announcements is that the 20% for whom they're not written will embrace them and the 80% for whom they are written won't.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

I don't love it. I'm actually considerably less tolerant of loud kids in public now than I was before I had my own. Your children should not be allowed to disrupt a church service, or any other public gathering. If they're being unruly, remove them. If they're old enough to know better, take them out and discipline them. If they're too young to control themselves, then again remove them. I've had to do this many times in many situations. It blows my mind when parents just sit there and let their kids totally disrupt and irritate an entire room full of strangers.

@The_Rose_Rosa @HansFiene There it is. Matt's really concerned with people behaving the way he wants them to. It's not that behavior is no concern at all. But I'm more concerned with encouraging a young family to come and partake of the means of grace.

@RevTShinnick @HansFiene I agree. Ppl think its worse than it is. Just say that then. Walsh isn't saying the church should say don't bring your loud kids. He's saying don't tell ppl that a certain behavior is ok.
