Chamath on 8090's building philosophy: "If you want your product to get good, do not lean on willpower or good intentions. Build a company where explicit upstream decisions create downstream pressure for the product to get better every day. That is what we are doing at 8090."

Rollout took longer this time around but Gemini quota should be reset for everyone on Antigravity. Will be faster next time around.

We heard concerns that Antigravity consumes many tokens for simple tasks now. So, we're adding Gemini 3.5 Flash (Low) as a way to optimize token usage for these tasks. In our internal testing, it generates around 45% fewer tokens than Gemini 3.5 Flash (Medium) and generally outperforms Gemini 3 Flash (High) on SWE tasks. We've also gone ahead and reset Gemini quota across all paid plans to make sure you have all the tokens needed to build for the next week 🙂

Yesterday, we 3x’d limits on Antigravity and are seeing you build so much more. One thing we heard was people are worried about hitting their weekly limits after a couple work sessions. To give you more runway, we’re 3x’ing the weekly Gemini quotas AGAIN on all paid plans. We’ve also gone ahead and reset Gemini quotas on all paid plans. Don’t stop building!

Casa
Casa@getcasa·
After two years of building under wraps, today we're announcing Casa – your personal property manager. We've raised $27M to redefine the homeownership experience from the ground up. We believe your home is your most treasured asset, emotionally & financially. It shouldn't also be a second job. Most homeowners are on their own – expected to have the time, expertise, and relationships to keep things running. Finding a plumber you can trust. Remembering when the HVAC was last serviced. Knowing what's actually wrong before someone shows up to fix it. Casa gives every homeowner what used to be reserved for the few: a dedicated team that knows your home deeply, handles the work, and stays in your corner. We're enabling this by building a deep, technical understanding of every home we serve – something that's never existed before, across 100 million single-family homes in the country. For $199/mo, membership includes: - A complete inventory of your home, built using specialized hardware & software - 1.5 hours of handyman time every month (and it rolls over) - Unlimited Concierge requests to take on virtually any home project - Custom, proactive care plans built specifically for your home - Weekly package and donation pickups - Scheduling and payments for your regular vendors - Utility and property tax monitoring …and we’re just getting started, with more benefits on the way to make the experience of owning your home as magical as it always should have been. Available now in the SF Bay Area and Los Angeles. Reserve your spot everywhere else. → getcasa.com

Two years since Replit left SF. 10x valuation and 200x ARR later we’ve taken over much of the old IBM campus in Foster City and we’re still expanding. There’s something poetic about it: IBM helped create the industry. We’re helping reinvent how people create software. San Francisco is a beautiful city. But it wasn’t the right place for us to focus and rebuild. To transform both our company, and the future of programming itself. We went from worrying about employee safety to designing a campus people actually want to spend time in. Better problems. Foster City gave us space both literally and figuratively. Open horizons, fewer distractions, and more room to think long-term. It’s a hidden gem in Silicon Valley. And we’re just getting started.

Replit left San Francisco for Foster City. The "why" we're leaving is boring, sad, and predictable (crime, dysfunction, etc), so instead let me tell you why we chose Foster City. Foster City embodies the American post-war optimism and the long-lost California pro-growth mentality. in 1958 businessman Jack Foster set out to build "a master-planned community concept"; in 1960 bought Brewer Island, a largely undeveloped land used for salt evaporation and dairy farming; in 1961 started building, and in 1964, the first family moved in. By 1966, more than 5,000 people were living there. Can you imagine how long it would take to build such a project today? The city is also known for its innovative engineering, particularly its "Venice-like" lagoon system. Instead of employing massive landfills to elevate the terrain for development, engineers devised a system of lagoons that provided essential drainage and a super cool aesthetic landscape. Finally, the city is super livable. When Haya and I moved to California, we first took residence there and, in fact, incorporated Replit here. Our first bank was Wells Fargo, a few steps from our new office. It's relatively affordable compared to the rest of the Bay Area and has a healthy mix of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. Downtown San Mateo is a bridge away, a fun place to hang out or live. Finally, in the Bay Area, almost every town has an associated iconic tech company. When you think of Mountain View, you think of Google; when you think of Cupertino, you think of Apple. My hope is that in the future, when you think of Foster City, you'll think of Replit.

POTUS is laying out two courses of action—a negotiated settlement, or a major escalation. There is a third option, and he should take it: recognize there is no way to force a positive outcome and simply leave. The region is not ours to fix. President Reagan chose this path in Lebanon in ‘84, withdrawing U.S. forces after the Beirut barracks bombing once it became clear the mission’s stabilization goals could not be met, effectively ending direct American military involvement and avoiding a deeper quagmire and long-term entrenchment in the region. A negotiated settlement is unlikely to work or be taken seriously by the Iranians unless we make concessions on the enrichment issue. As we saw yesterday in the SOH, the IRGC is empowered to act without the consent of the civilian leadership, so it’s likely they won’t honor any deal reached. A major escalation will lead to a very destructive outcome for Iran, the region, and eventually the U.S. If POTUS chooses brute force and targets civilian infrastructure, we will create another generation of radicalized Iranians who will rally around the regime and escalate the war by any means possible. If POTUS opts to strike the civilian infrastructure, declare victory, and then leave, we will only further erode our standing in the world, the petrodollar, and eventually our status as the world’s reserve currency holder. We need to get out now. Don’t double down on failure. Avoid the sunken cost trap, leave now, and put America’s interests first.

We still just want to be able to tell it a max speed for a given speed limit. Custom profiles are a must to make this thing truly hands off, and should be one of the more trivial updates you can do. Oh that and "remember this route" for common routes, like a specific way to exit your community that you yourself would take but Google Maps never does

Imagine if Iran bombed and destroying the Golden Gate Bridge in California. What would you call the act? The USA-Israel the “aggressors”bombed and destroyed Iran's tallest bridge, the B1 Bridge. This will only unify the Iranian people against Israel and the United States. This is not what Trump ran on and this is not what we voted for…

Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

@windsurf how in the world did you set your quota's. I hit the limits previously once, and was happy to buy additional usage. Now I have no visibility into my usage, hit my quota daily, and I am running out of weekly quota by Wednesday.
