To be a successful entrepreneur, you do NOT need to be putting in long hours. @GrantCardone has said he works 90 hours a week. @garyvee says new entrepreneurs must put in at least 18 hours a day for the first year. I think the question is what is "enough" for you? Are you shooting for a billion $ in the bank? Might need to put in a ton of time. Want to shoot for "only" a million $ business and enjoy a well-balanced lifestyle? You can definitely get by on less than 40 hours a week. @mywifequit has shared he typically works around 20 hours a week and has 2 business doing over $1 million a year. I personally almost NEVER work more than 30 hours in a week, and have been doing this online entrepreneur thing since 2011. How many hours a week do YOU think an entrepreneur needs to work?

@nichepursuits I’ve been tracking my monthly stock investments since the beginning of 2013. Over that time with consistent investments every month and no attempts to time the market, my APY is 14.6% in just the S&P 500. I’m comfortable with 7-10% for planning.

What return rate is realistic to use when calculating how much money I need to retire? I'm using an investment calculator and I want to know what will happen to it over 30 years. 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, 12%? Assume I'm willing to invest in a general S&P fund.

@lr_jordan ^^THIS^^ This is what we should be doing to build and grow a real reputation. Garbage, mass-produced content needed to go. We need to find out the best ways to signal that our content isn’t that.

I hate this marketing strategy: 1. Share a mix of misleading and made up information 2. Get corrected on it 3. Leave the wrong information up because it's getting engagement and you sell relevant services It alienates your business from all of the people that know you're willing to lie for views - how could they trust your results, or strategies, or anything you say? I'm so glad I've never sold SEO services and make money from my own projects, but above all else I'm glad people trust what I say because I share from the heart and always have Trust is everything

Either way, I’m not playing his game anymore. I’m embarrassed I got sucked into it at all. I guess he got the attention he wanted.

@MorganOMedia @mrjamesdelacey Yeah… best to distance yourself from me for the next few days at least. Apparently I’m evil or something. Funny thing is, I’m not even really an SEO guy. I teach people how to build an online business and how to create content that helps people and attracts an audience.

But just for clarity y’all I’m not a subscriber of income school. It looks like someone just forgot to change out the thumbnail from when I appeared on the podcast a few weeks ago chatting about freelance. I’m staying about as far away as I can from SEO at the moment. But props to anyone who is able to find success in that world!
