It is my opinion that video game publishers should not police out of game activity, but it is a fact that Square Enix is known to do it, tends to do so only in rare circumstances, and has amended their policy to clarify this point.

Destiny 2 is shutting down. Let this be a wake up call to @Blizzard_Ent / @BlizzardCS @Warcraft Destiny was one of the best games ever made. With a highly dedicated playerbase. Those players quit because of developer laziness. Those players quit because of abusive, non existant customer support. Those players quit because of auto bans. Blizzard better think long and hard about this one.

Whether you think what Xeno said is a slur or not doesn't matter. It's an offensive word in today's society, and he shouldn't say things like that. Nobody should. "Free speech" is not free of consequences. Hopefully, he will learn from this and not behave like such.

I played FFXIV since ARR, quit after Dawntrail, and was genuinely considering returning to the game for Evercold to see if things will have been improved. If Square-Enix is going to ban people like Xeno from the game for the stuff they say outside of it, then screw it.

I honestly don't see anything that was said to warrant his banned, but it's Square-Enix call. Xenosys has always talked like this for years and nothing happened, so what has changed? Certainly someone found a loop hole to target his banned. To be real FFXIV community is very very very toxic and yes their is pettiness and fake smiles and fake positivity has really hurt the game and the community in general and I'm aware how this kind of behavior can also pull people away from the game. This is why many have stayed in FF11 because how toxic and fake people can be in the FF14 community. Majority of the harrasements and stalking comes from this game itself there is no denying it. Petty people even created a mod to find who's retainers belong to which character to harass them for undercutting. It's pathetic. Also it's terrible that we can't even express ourselves about crazy people who work at Square-Enix, because of big sissies who can't handle the steel of other people's vocabulary. I'm very discouraged to even continue with FF14. I'm good with FF11 as long they do not damage the game as they did with DawnTrail. Square-Enix really needs to get it together or kick rocks because by the end of the day people can and will move on to another gaming company who listen to player base feedback without attacking gamers. Like pearl abyss, why can't SE takes notes how well they are doing?

People celebrating Xenosys's ban are cooked, because you clearly do not understand the implications of what it means and the fact that FFXIV can now police your stream for free. This can happen to anyone, even the streamers you like
