@DuncanAbigaba Tanzania limit is 80kph for open country roads, 50kph for populated areas, like in Uganda. Rwanda has stretches where limit is 70kph. Problem on Uganda roads is not speed, it's indiscipline, idiocy & impunity. Let's start with rigorous & dispassionate enforcement of traffic rules

In Rwanda, highway speed limit is 60 km/hr, in TZ ~ 50 km/hr. In UG, it depends on the make of the vehicle; V8 can do 200 km/hr, subaru 160 km/hr. 148 lives lost this holiday season alone (NTV news). In a civilised world, this would be a national disaster. Here, it is normal. Sad

The government will henceforth put in place a shelter where girls can be kept when they get problems in UAE and the Middle East and also strengthen the laws on the movement of people outside the country to eliminate trafficking.

EARLIER: I met and held discussions with Ugandans living in UAE through their respective leaders from the Association of Ugandans living in the United Arab Emirates (AUU). We talked about issues like; Human trafficking especially for our girls and working conditions etc.
