Documents it said I had till midnight to renew. Website it said the only way to cancel was to ring up. Your offices aren't open. This is your problem but mine. Had it said to contact you on social media then I would have done. Is £20 really worth all the negative feedback?

@RobPoolePhotos Hi Robert as mentioned in my DM to you, there are reasons to retain the fees such as updating external and internal databases as well as other ways of contact to discuss the renewal. Once again though I am sorry if you're unhappy with the fees. ~Leigh

I would recommend everyone avoids @HastingsDirect for car insurance. Automatically renewed a highly inflated car insurance quote. Impossible to contact the office before renewal and then wants to charge for arranging insurance I never asked or paid for.

@HastingsDirect There was no way on your website and office was closed, there is no reason for the not to be a cancellation option online. As a large company £40 is nothing for you and far above any costs incurred but for vulnerable customers in a cost of living crisis this is pure profiteering.

@HastingsDirect Hi, I have spoken to the team but they were only able to read off a script and so were unable to help. Charging £40 in "arrangement fees" for a policy I never paid for or used and was automatically renewed and cost you nothing is shameless profiteering.
