It may be that the catalytic converter had something to do with car emissions dropping but the real change came with computerization of the entire drive train. It makes engines exponentially more efficient. Smog pumps, smog checks did very little. The other factor in So Cal’s getting clearer was the closing of steel mills and other large industrial polluters.

@Blackadder2024 @JesseKellyDC The clear air you see is a result of the catalytic converter, for the most part. The cat needs almost no maintenance and it is simple to replace. All the bureaucracy surrounding the tests is silly, and in and of itself doesn’t add anything to the process.

This morning, my office unsealed several indictments charging 47 Mexican Mafia members and associates with federal charges for operating a criminal enterprise in Orange County, California. 43 defendants have been taken into custody so far and will face significant time in federal prison for racketeering, drug trafficking, violent attacks, and other crimes. This was a multi-agency operation involving federal and local authorities. Today the @TheJusticeDept did what it does best: making American communities safer from violent crime.

Sara was broadsided by a hit and run driver yesterday. He literally had a teardrop tattoo on his face and screamed threats in Spanish before backing out from the collision and leaving the scene of the accident. Thank God she seems to be unharmed. This is why we support ICE.

Last night the Senate REJECTED my amendment to ban taxpayer money from funding trans treatments for MINORS. It is indefensible. The House Republicans must act immediately to stop this - or billions of tax $$ will be spent on trans drugs for kids. Get it done. No excuses.

Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) Detectives were conducting proactive enforcement in the South Sacramento area and were on a vehicle stop when approached by Darryl Maxwell. Darryl felt the need to interject in the lawful traffic stop. Unbeknownst to Darryl, GSU knew him and the fact that he was on parole AND probation… Darryl was detained and a search was conducted of his vehicle. GSU Detectives located a loaded, unregistered Glock 19 pistol concealed under the center console trim. Maxwell was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail. GSU would like to thank Darryl for essentially turning himself in.

I am going to keep repeating this until people understand this. Karen Bass was not only a Castro operative and Communist, but she got elevated to Vice Chair of National Endowment for Democracy, which is the center of soft power operations in the US government. She is not a "DEI mayor." She is extremely powerful at the global stage. She was actively involved in shaping foreign policy with the Obama administration, especially Africa. Her Ghana visit during the LA wildfires wasn't a vacation, it was part of a Biden delegate to greet Ghana's new President. She was considered HUD Secretary for the Biden administration. Instead, she nominated the person who would become the actual HHS Secretary - California Attorney General Xavier Becerra. Now, let me ask you. If a literal Castro operative gets elevated to this stage, what does this imply about the rest of the United States government?
