Tuesday AM (5-12) Radar UPDATE….as of 7:40am, we see an area of rainfall along a front to our south. While the majority of the rain will stay south of us, we could certainly see a few showers in coastal Colleton and lower Charleston Counties through the day. @StormTeam2WCBD

Monday Morning (5-11) Weather UPDATE….a slow moving cold front will drop in later today, and will help to trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of these storms could be strong to severe, so we will need to stay weather aware for this possibility.

Here is our first be stop shop forecast for today, Mother’s Day! The rain threat is very low today (less than 20%), so looks like a nice day for Mom. Temps will warm into the mid 80’s later this afternoon. The rain chance is higher on Monday. @WCBD @StormTeam2WCBD

Saturday Morning (5-9) Radar Update….most of the rain overnight stayed south of us, and has moved into the Atlantic Ocean. We will continue to watch for possible showers and thunderstorms later today. We will have to wait and see how the storms central Alabama behave this AM.

Here is a look at the surface maps for today (Friday 5-8) through Mother’s Day. Today dry, with a high temp of 78 degrees. Saturday and Sunday have a high likelihood of rain at times, as a stalled front to our south will help to initiate showers. Not a washout this weekend.

Radar UPDATE as of 11:05am Thursday 5-7….so far, no significant rainfall for most of us. We have seen a few drops here or there, but many areas have been mostly dry. As you can see, more rain will be filling in as we move into the afternoon. @WCBD @StormTeam2WCBD

Thursday AM (5-7) Radar UPDATE….areas of mainly light rain are moving through the Lowcountry this morning. As of this moment, no lightning has been detected nearby, but we still need to monitor for possible t-storms, especially later in the day. Keep the rain gear at the ready!
