Honestly, this type of reaction really come from white Cracker culture. Thomas Sowell wrote an excellent book this call Black Redneck and White Liberals. His theory, back with a lot of evidence, was the blacks in the Deep South adopted many cultural traits from poor white. These white Americans traced their ancestry to the lawless bird lands of Scotland, England, and Wales near Ulster. I’m not making excuses for this gentlemen, but culture does take time. The first lesson is learning the rule of law.
