@TrustScore_1 The world can flip in a single breath.
The luck you never noticed was borrowed time and treat it like it might not be there tomorrow.
Respect the randomness before it stops being kind to you.

An Indian engineer at Meta gets the layoff email at 11pm Bangalore time.
His wife is on H-4. His kid is in 3rd grade in Seattle. His Bellevue apartment lease has 8 months left. His H-1B clock just started ticking — 60 days.
Meta's stock went up on the news. Zuck called it becoming more efficient.
This is what AI transformation actually looks like for 2 lakh Indians abroad.
Ai impact on Indians abroad is highest

@MorningBrew We dance on the razor-thin edge of a world that can shatter in a heartbeat, blind to the fragile luck sustaining us. Treasure the quiet gravity of your current fortune, for the tides owe us nothing and change is the only truth that stays.

if you’re openai, this is really really bad news, because now your largest & now actually profitable competitor with the most momentum is in a deep partnership that empowers them with potentially infinite compute & since they make money they can pay for it directly without using equity.
& elon can’t afford to walk away from this partnership either because as a publicly traded company that type of revenue fluctuation would have fiduciary impact.
incredible twist.

I'm not gonna lie, the @Meta layoffs are some of the most dystopian I've ever seen. They got told to work from home, they were sent the emails at 4AM in the morning. Those who weren't impacted have software on their computer that tracks their every move, preparing AI to take their job as well. They're literally training the AI that will eliminate their position as well.
Meanwhile, Meta is raking in RECORD PROFITS.
I am a massive, unapologetic AI enthusiast. Yet, this is NOT the future I had in mind.
I wish for Meta to crash and burn. This is not the way. Literally nobody benefits from this.

India has around 250 tall buildings, either completed or under construction, with the Mumbai real estate market accounting for the largest share, followed by Hyderabad, according to a report by real estate consultancy CBRE India.
The report states that Mumbai ranks among Asia’s leading cities for tall buildings and is home to nearly 77% of India’s buildings taller than 150 metres. With more than 100 such towers already in the city, Mumbai is expected to remain the country’s tallest-building hub in the coming years.

@SahilBloom If you’re trying to break a bad habit, there are three things you can do according to James Clear,
You can eliminate it, reduce it, or replace it.
Always replace bad habits with good ones.
