Whats the saying? Live long enough to become the villain. Why spend $300 on something wicked proprietary 5v USB-C PD spec when less than that can get you an mini PC Dell off lease with expansion. I get it - form factor and size, but this isn't cost effective anymore.

Can anyone explain to me what in gods name they need long running agents for? I haven’t seen a single reason/ use case so far

@mil000 I tried but I can’t even remember when was last time I runned something for less than half of an hour. If it’s not a simple question it can shit out action/answer on immediately

Do Macs not have an option to keep the device on even when the lid is closed? It's been an option on windows for over 2 decades now

@m08734471 @msnofficial_on 1.Where I said that hibernation is default behavior? I set it, I expect it to work. Thing is - they both never worked properly. 2. im pretty sure hibernation on lid close was introduced in one of win7 SPs first one maybe?

@RomanAndre4995 @msnofficial_on You're clearly mistaking things. Hibernation has been around for ages, way before Windows 7. Hibernation means the RAM is written to disk and power is shut off completely. But that's not what closing the lid does and this was never the default or even a recommendation.

And this device is still after all this years from day 1 is EXCEPTIONALLY good at it. Also I had a blast playing wow unplugged for hours on my air. Felt like miracle

I can agree that some things like python/node/docker/rust did not worked properly or at all. But I you know..can judge things not only from my perspective.

@m08734471 @msnofficial_on But deaf adult it goes to sleep mode that somehow worked properly on win7 with occasional “I’m not really going to sleep buddy” then they introduced hibernation and both of the ceased to work reliably on any laptops because apps can have overrides for pwrcfg
