Covered call rant of the day: Selling a call against stock does NOT provide a reliable cushion against declines. The cushion comes from the calls' negative delta and its exposure to the volatility risk premium, not from the premium that you initially collect.

Always funny to me to hear people say "International investing hasn't worked". What they really mean is "international investing hasn't worked for American investors during this cycle". It's worked splendidly for most investors in nearly all countries around the globe....
