@FalconerAdamson Have you filed a PIPEDA request with a company? They just flat out say "we don't have to tell you".

In the right hands C-22 is a powerful weapon against globalization..why? Because organized crime and extortion are foundational to globalization. Note that Apple, Meta and the others are no friends of the Canadian people or our Nation or freedom in general. Bill C-22 (Lawful Access Act 2026) aims to update police and CSIS access to digital information for investigations like organized crime and extortion by requiring electronic service providers to maintain technical capabilities for authorized data retrieval. Apple, Meta, Google, and privacy advocates criticize the bill for broad powers with limited judicial oversight, potential systemic security vulnerabilities, and risks of weakening encryption, with some firms signaling possible service withdrawal from Canada.

‼️MAJOR BREAKING Google slams Canadian surveillance bill C-22: "it gives the Minister of Public Safety sweeping powers to issue secret orders" “Google has never built a backdoor or other mechanism to circumvent end-to-end encryption" WOW. American tech thank you!!

@FalconerAdamson Fair analysis, I don't fully disagree with that take; but it won't expose anything. It will galvanize the secret requests for info already present in PIPEDA under exemptions to disclosure.

I dont see any major diverging real world policies between the three main parties. They are all globalist and have zero interest in Canadian national integrity. This bill would probably expose how they all used social media agents to collect data and influence the public narrative. If conservatives presented and passed this bill...id say they were presenting a policy that echoed the lockstep booklick of covid masking, social distance, lockdown and mandated genetic experiments...as I said, I see the mainstream political culture as very low intelligence and very low morality.

🚨 Carney’s Liberal Bill C-22 is straight-up dystopian. Govt agents can raid ANY data center, ISP, or app office, NO WARRANT needed to copy ALL your data, hijack their computers, seize docs. Just to enforce backdoors + 1 year metadata spying on Canadians. This kills privacy, encryption & freedom. Kill C-22 NOW. #KillC22 #SurveillanceState

In Canada, your tax money goes to funding propaganda accounts on social media. Every post from this profile is just straight up lying to you about Bill C-22 and its consequences. The bill can force any business that so much as touches the internet in Canada to store metadata about what you do for a year, so that law enforcement can have access to it if needed. This is like saying "No no, the police aren't watching you through your windows and writing down everything you do... they're just forcing your landlord to install cameras in each room and keep a year of footage so that if police ever need to check, the evidence exists."
Public Safety Canada@Safety_Canada

(1/2) Part 2 of Bill C-22 does not create new authorities, such as surveillance powers, for law enforcement and CSIS. It ensures that electronic service providers are able to respond to lawful access requests from law enforcement and CSIS.

I tried asking APTN what their involvement is in the CBC "prank show." Their comms director accidentally sent me an internal email stating that they were going to ignore my inquiry because I'm just a lowly Canadian citizen and not a media outlet (not that they will give a sufficient answer to the media either.) I followed up and asked who I can contact then, and they just didn't respond. It's actually crazy that these taxpayer-supported institutions think that they don't need to answer to anyone. They don't even think I deserve a modicum of an answer to my questions, even though they shouldn't be difficult to respond to.

Hello from Canada 🇨🇦 👋 I have a question for Americans 🇺🇸🙋 I've never seen a real gun in my life. Only in anime and movies. Is it true that Americans sometimes see guns at stores like Walmart? In Canada, we only see them on TV. Is that normal in America? 🤔

After 4 years of disciplinary proceedings, Canada's longest and most corrupted disciplinary police hearing against Detective Helen Grus of the Ottawa Police Service has had it's final day. A decision will be delivered by a virtual announcement. All because a well trained police officer asked questions regarding a spike in infant deaths. She presenting factual evidence that contradicted the official narrative. As a final blow (no pun intended) the prosecution's summary compared this officers actions to previous examples of officers receiving oral sex in police cars while working. They want us to believe she was selfish, misguided and used poor judgement. Thankfully, her lawyer Bath-Sheba van den Burg closed with final submissions in a most appropriate and fitting mic drop verse: Isaiah 5.20-23 "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent" The look on Hearing officer's face was priceless. Penalty forthcoming.

@ThatGuy68289349 @PrairieVeteran Well maybe you need to re-enlist. You don't think former CAF members have a right to criticize? You think combat readiness is at it's best right now with it's lowest staffing levels since the 90s?

Reworded for clarification..... As a veteran or family with veterans in it, do you think lowered CAF standards for recruitment are helping or hurting our readiness level?

If the police already use spyware that can turn on your camera and read your encrypted messages... what exactly does Bill C-22 give them that they don't already have? IT DOESN’T GIVE THEM ANYTHING NEW. It gives the government a year of metadata on every Canadian who never broke a law. C22 ISN’T FOR THE CRIMINALS. IT’S FOR YOU
