@ejgallagherx I thought it was standard to provide food and drink? They give out crisps, sandwiches and juice if you’ve been waiting for a certain amount of time at the hospital near me! There’s water and squash available for everyone too

I’m confused at the thought of presuming you’d get food or water whilst waiting in A&E? It’s a hospital, not a cafe.

Our 4 year old had to wait 4.5 hours just to be triaged in A&E last night. She couldn’t move her arm & cried every time she tried to. We were there for almost 7 hours & at no point was she offered any pain relief, water or food. The NHS is failing patients @wesstreeting

I've been a GP for over a decade.
I've referred a patient as an NHS GP to an NHS specialist. They have rejected the referral as we have not specifically stated that the patient has consented to the referral.
Do they think that we are referring patients without consent?
I can only assume this is waiting list manipulation?
Because I don't believe that any clinician believes that we are referring patients to be seen by specialists without them consenting to it.
Can anyone make it make sense?

@DrNeilStone UK under 75s typically pay £99 for a private covid vaccination which, as in the Autumn, is not exactly the same vaccine as the NHS one. I was told it's the newer one, so why isn't NHS using the latest?
