NEW - Ottawa says agreement w/ Musqueam band "provides general recognition that Musqueam has Aboriginal rights and title within their territory" and sets up "future negotiations to define how and where those rights and title could apply" but doesn't actually grant title. Yet.

.@BobDEithKC with respect, while what you say may be true, @Dave_Eby is an unmitigated train wreck for BC. @jjhorgan and Carole James and @SelinaMRobinson understood the importance of fiscal responsibility. Read John’s book. Eby is clearly an idealogue who is out of touch with what makes our province tick. This isn’t a partisan issue. It’s a very serious issue concerning the future of our province and the utterly irresponsible approach to governance that Eby exhibits. He needs to go. That can happen internally or externally. If the @bcndp don’t oust him, the electorate will #bcpoli. And, for the record, the four year 3% p.a increase to the public sector was unaffordable, way above inflation, and obviously designed so he would get a high approval rating at the @bcndp convention leadership vote. Ive been around for a long time and I’ve never before witnessed a more fiscally irrespondible and ideological premier or prime minister anywhere in Canada!
