So far we’ve heard that although we killed the whole Iranian regime, this was not a regime change war. And although we obliterated their nuclear program, we had to do this because of their nuclear program. And although Iran was not planning any attacks on the US, they also might have been, depending on who you ask. And although we are not fighting this war to free the Iranian people, they are now free, or might be, depending on who seizes power, and we have no idea who that will be. The messaging on this thing is, to put it mildly, confused.

Cochise County, AZ Chief Civil Deputy Attorney fired after he allegedly filmed a 12-year-old girl in Target before being found with his pants "disheveled" in his car. Attorney Paul Correa was allegedly following the girl and recorded her with his phone. The girl's father told investigators that he saw Correa "watching a video of his daughter with his pants disheveled" in his car. Surveillance footage suggests that Correa actually filmed *two* young girls in the store and was seen putting his phone to his chest while walking past one of them in the cosmetic section. One of the girls who was filmed notified her mother, who then called the father. Surveillance footage from the outside of the store allegedly showed "sustained movement" in the driver’s seat of Correa's car until he was interrupted by the girl's father. Correa has since been charged with evidence tampering and public s*xual indecency.

We did plenty of interior enforcement, and as @TerryMoran said, we did it without masked gangs, snatching citizens from their cars, disappearing people, and storming homes without warrants. There were certainly mistakes and overreach, but this is different. It's not law enforcement, it's state-sanctioned violence and repression.

These plans are financial novocaine: they numb the pain temporarily, while the real problem – lack of housing supply – remains untouched. To make housing (or college) more affordable, require homebuilders (or the colleges) to provide the loans. Keep the government out of the deal. That would make sure that only qualified borrowers (and talented kids) got access to loans.
