We think this is why RSL3 is so effective compared to 2nd gen GPx4 inhibitors - just like with some kinase inhibitors it may be effective because it’s non specific

@LyssiotisLab @PancanMonica @YatrikShahLab Thanks for the shoutout @LyssiotisLab! We show that RSL3 is so potent in CRC *because* it’s a remarkably dirty Selenoprotein inhibitor, as we found a CRC cell line that’s sensitive to RSL3 but insensitive to GPx4 KD!
