@delteded @GissiSim @Max_Sarcasium1 If you think China is better for your self-interest, have at it. Every country should act in their self interest. There are massive cultural differences btw East and West, so I would be cautious long term. Again, your choice.
English

@SFakamoto @GissiSim @Max_Sarcasium1 You’re talking about two cases from roughly 40 and 70 years ago...
China has been rearming for about 30 years without attacking anyone with that increased capability.
Honestly, that doesn’t look bad for countries that believe in diplomatic and trade ties.
English

@ampalsson @Natedoggie4 @cmdibley I honestly cant wait for this. China will be a friend. Then they will crush you. You'll probably love it though, with your fondness for Covid camps.
English

@Natedoggie4 @cmdibley Do you know, China has been a far more reliable, even handed partner to us than America has lately.
They don't throw us random tariffs, designed to bring down our economy, just because the leader feels like it when he crawls out of bed that morning
English

@delteded @GissiSim @Max_Sarcasium1 It attacked Vietnam and sent troops into Korea. Notably, its military buildup has been recent so we may see more interventions. US should leave Israel and Europe.
English

@SFakamoto @GissiSim @Max_Sarcasium1 How many countries has China attacked, exactly?
Glad to hear you’re fine with civilizations interacting freely, that’s a healthy view.
English

@MuscularEnglish Germany will be conquering the continent again within a couple of decades.
English

@ianrich15813274 Manage by constantly warring with one another?
English

@GissiSim @Max_Sarcasium1 We dont think about you at all.... you'd probably be happier under Chinese dominion anyway, tbh.
English

@Max_Sarcasium1 I don't think Americans understand how much the mood has soured towards America in the past year.
The world is done with this shit and is rapidly working on side stepping America going forward.
Bookmark this and come back in 5 years. We can pick up the convo again then ;-)
English

@bratricek You cant militarize because you let in too many foreigners that you cant trust. You could send all of your national born sons to die, and hand your continent directly to the mohamedites, but not sure thats the win you think it is, champ.
English

Let me get this straight:
You are locked in a war on the other side of the globe, completely dependent on European infrastructure literaly begging for us to join and you feel like flexing against a continent of several former empires with unmatched history of warfare is good, because former commie empire is digged in 2nd world country for 4 years unable to even stop the destruction of its own oil infrastructure.
Buddy, you are not gonna believe that, but Germany stopping being gay, green and woke is not bad for us, but for you.
Your entire world dominance stands on a deal that Europe will not militarise and will follow your lead.

Withdraw from NATO and withdraw all US troops from US bases in Europe and see how many days it takes Russia to conquer Europe.

Google is basically saying:
“We’ve cut the quantum resources needed to break Bitcoin’s encryption by 20x. We can now break it. We can prove it. We’re just not going to tell you how.
We’ve slowed down research to give crypto a chance. You have until 2029 to figure out a solution. Good luck.”
nic carter@nic_carter
Many are wondering "what Google saw" that caused them to revise their post-quantum cryptography transition deadline to 2029 last week. It was this: research.google/blog/safeguard…

@Diana6645281284 @Bryan_mngs @rushicrypto That's nearly all taxes now. Theft from the working class to pay the welfare class and politically connected elite.
English

@Bryan_mngs @rushicrypto And why do those people who don’t own property get the right to vote on property taxes that they don’t pay?!? They use the system but don’t pay a dime AND decide whether the actual property owners taxes go up -NOT RIGHT!
English

I’m very confused about the number of people who think “property tax” is a sales tax on you home rather than taxes to pay for public services you use every day.
“I paid off my home why do i still pay property taxes?!?!?”
Oh, did you also stop using the roads and libraries and sidewalks and parks? Not worried about fires anymore?

Our greatest ally. Start a war them say "we are too busy stealing land from the unarmed, have fun getting shot at".

BREAKING: Israel's Channel 12 says that in case of a US ground operation in Iran, Israeli soldiers will not be participating on the ground.
English

Small lesson, as history repeats:
Before the Iraq invasion, General Shinseki warned we didn't have enough troops to occupy and stabilize the country.
DefSec warmonger Rumsfeld pushed him aside to invade anyways.
Shinseki was right: it took 20 years and a huge surge in troops to succeed.
Millions of innocents displaced or killed, trillions of US dollars wasted or going to the pockets of defense contractors. Tens of thousands of US and ally troops dead.
Guess what? Iran is a much larger and riskier. The casualties will be far worse and far uglier.
Millennials spent 20 years fighting two pointless wars for the Republican warmongers. I thought with Afghanistan winding down we'd put that era behind us.
Now it looks like GenZ's turn to die for Republican warmongers. It makes me sad to think of more young men are being fed to the military industrial complex to appease boomer hubris and Israeli bloodlust..
We don't gain a single f*cking benefit from this war.
If Trump doesn't back down and beg Iran for forgiveness soon, it will get very ugly: a lot of young men and women on both sides will die pointless deaths, as world economies spiral on the back of $200+ oil.
It's like they decided to play back the stupid decisions of 20 years ago, but even worse.

English

@FenixAmmunition You’re underestimating the average police officer and their skills…
Very easy to talk like this behind a keyboard, you will comply when you’re faced with police or military at your door.
English

@bencroyderived @spikesguides And by bombing a family/neighbor home, they create 20 additional insurgents. You've learned nothing
English

No one is starting an insurgency in Appalachia because the “gubberment is trying to steal our rights!”
If you somehow manage to fend off local/state SWAT, even the FBI Waco-ing your ass, they’re just going to call in a local Air Guard unit to drop a bomb on your house killing you and probably your family if you make it that far.
All the goon buckets and Daniel Defenses in the world won’t save you, because the military is far more advanced than what the Minuteman militia were fighting against.
Get involved in local and state politics to prevent this kind of thing coming to pass instead.
English

30 years fighting insurgents in the desert says otherwise.
Once you make people criminals, a sizable number won't comply with the law.
Once violence becomes an acceptable tool in the zeitgeist (and it would quickly) they'll organize.
The US has an atrocious track record fighting insurgencies because all they need to do to win is not give up and cause as much pain to the host nation as possible.
You'll hear about sniper attacks, roadside kinetics, raids on police stations, and more.
It only takes 50 or so really dedicated people to cause billions of dollars of damage.
Just look at the IRA during the Troubles if you want an idea of the can of worms you'd be opening.

English

@nickgerli1 Property taxes for people that moved there after 2020 are astronomical.... its why many have left. 1-2k a mo isnt unusual, and times are harder.

Tampa, FL just hit its lowest migration level on record.
A net 1,539 people left Tampa's metro area in 2025 - the first decline ever recorded going back four decades.
Worse yet - birth rates are plummeting, and the area now has more deaths than births.
This is happening due to a dramatic affordability crisis in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. The entire metro became very expensive during the pandemic, and locals can't afford it, so they're leaving.
The only saving grace for the Florida Bay Area was international migration, which kept overall population growth slightly positive at +13,000.
However, this was also the lowest level in nearly 40 years.
Access migration data by state and county for your area at reventure.app.
