omg remember when I edited the first fat positive YA anthology that has 30 amazing fat people talking about how great being fat is. Sometimes I almost forget but good news I have like 3 boxes of author copies I just rediscovered, any teachers or librarians want one lol

My biggest takeaway from SIOP chapter 5 is the sidebar on page 31 - some things teachers can do to lower the affective filter. I love this reminder of the importance of Maslow before Bloom!

@SHowell306 @teachbk This presentation doesn't have the full implementation timeline, but it does show that the 4th yr of the pilot will be the 25-26 yr. Then the study reports will be released, undoubtedly saying "it works" and implementation would soon follow. tea.texas.gov/student-assess…

@teachbk Don’t worry. It’s coming. Meaning 3-4 shorter tests spread throughout the school year. It’s already being piloted. You think you lose days to test prep now, imagine how many instructional days will be lost when we switch to through-year state testing.
