The final push is on. Thank you for your terrific support, especially in response to the many personal attack ads. Your decency shines through. Help spread the word and let others know a small group with deep pockets, playing dirty politics don't decide this election - You do.

@RickGoldring Thanks for being clear on this, @RickGoldring. The presence of these tactics in the election has had the exact opposite effect to what the perpetrators wanted. These third party ads are disgusting and our citizens see right through it.

One of the biggest changes this election is new third-party advertising. In our immediate area, there are active third parties across the GTA and in Burlington. While these third-party groups are operating legally, some of their tactics are unfair and quite frankly inappropriate.

Negative smear tactics have no place in any election, against any candidate. Thanks for the overwhelming support from residents since this hit. It’s appalling, and you’ve called it out. These tactics divide community, diminish democracy. cbc.ca/news/canada/ha…

It seems that the current political theme is to undo the policies of prior admins instead of working with them and improving on them. No policy is perfect from the start. However it is best to put a policy in place and then work towards making it better than tearing it apart.

I proudly stand up for myself and my integrity. As I’ve previously stated, all my email communication lists were attained with permission including these Ward 2 residents who wrote the clerk. I believe they simply forgot they signed up on the newsletter form. #integrity

I don't remember asking to remove all the commercial properties bigger than an office? Or to reduce parking standards? You don't get it - the city should be designed for the people living in it - not to create GO train hostages for spreadsheets in Toronto. thespec.com/opinion-story/…

@GregDWoodruff Yes. It’s proposed in the new OP. City wants to change zoning in St. Luke’s to invite intensity, height. Bye bye detached 2 stories. They also reduced the neighbourhood boundaries. We’ve started petition. Delegating at city meeting tonight. All should come out. #saveDTBurlon

@SLPrecinct Is the "semi-detached allowed" change still in effect for your area? I e-mailed on it but got no response.

Retail assassination. Developers and our city planners want to build towers in place of retail on Brant. Spaces left empty 1 yr already until they get their way. Likely 3 to 5 more years empty. That’s murder for retail, community & quality of life here. Sad. #savedtburlon

@phlpwbb Yep. We saw that too. Burlington is all grown up now and so this is the new reality. We need accountability sewn into the City Planning and Council as they have their own agendas, and influencers. #takebackburlington

@CityLandSea @CentroGarden @shannonlg88 @KellysBake @AniseApoth Height extends build duration. Extended time = suffering. Height creates shade. Street shade = reduced retail success. Height requires infrastructure updates. Updates = street closures disturbing shopper behavior. Height reduces street level retail, creates dull dead space. More?
